For Rustys RV Ranch: Loved this RV park. Spacious sites, laid out so 2 rigs share a large space. However they are so long that you can barely see your neighbor. Quiet and really dark skies. You are asked to not have outdoor lighting Looked like some folks had telescopes set out. Lots of good walking, including pathways in the back area. A small dark park, next to a small water feature with a pair of black swans. Our dog loved it. A little bird menagerie next to a nice clubhouse. Hookups good. Rusty is very friendly and is glad to share recommendations for scenic drives. Really pretty area at Cave Creek. Be aware they prefer payment by check, not credit card. One small restaurant and grocery. Food was ok. Would stay here again.

BGale

For Rustys RV Ranch: A great place to use as a base for exploring the surrounding area. Sites are spacious. Laundry and common areas are clean. Washers and dryers worked. We were too late to participate in Taco Tuesday but it sounded great. Staff were friendly and helpful. A very relaxing place to stay.

For Rustys RV Ranch: Agree with all the previous. You just want to stay longer here. It's not your typical paved RV Park but the ambiance is so incredible. The staff and the few longer term people set the tone.... The Friday night pot lucks are amazing and if you arrive unprepared just give a donation. Nearby Portal, AZ has a Ranger Station with good advice on roads and hiking/biking. The library in Portal is very accommodating to visitors. The Museum just down the road from Rustys has great reptile exhibits and a good gift shop. We enjoyed the tour of Shakespeare Ghost Town near Lordsburg, but only offered 2 days each month so be sure to check. Word is getting out so it might be a good idea to call and reserve.

For Rustys RV Ranch: What a fantastic place - we enjoyed it so much that we extended our stay for a total of 3 weeks. Towing our 41-foot fifth wheel was easy in this RV park, which is flat with well-graded, gravel roads that are extremely wide. All the sites are pull throughs and can accommodate the largest possible rigs. The sites are layed out back to back, so on your awning side you have a HUGE space, it's like you're parked on your own piece of land! The owners are wonderful people who will do anything for you, we were treated like family. This park is NOT the typical desert gravel parking lot. The land around each site is dirt with some grass, and some small pine and deciduous trees and shrubs at each site. The pads are gravel. There are birds everywhere here, and there are also astronomers who come here with telescopes - all the guests were very respectful of the wildlife with no barking dogs and lights at night to a minimum, all of which contributed to the feeling that you are camped on your own property. Laundry machines worked fine, and a Friday night BBQ for guests at the clubhouse. There is also a swimspa, and a pond with ducks and swans. With our signal booster we had Verizon service but you are right on the edge of Verizon's service area. There is a hiking trail around the park, and hiking and rock collecting opportunities in the nearby mountains that we took advantage of. One of the best places we've ever stayed: amazingly wonderful owners, huge sites, peaceful and quiet, and lots of things to see and do!
