For Rainbow Lake Cabin and RV Resort: New manager, she goes by Country, has really turned the park around for the better!! Big difference from our last two summers there. We just left from a two month stay and it was great. The park is clean, trees trimmed, grass cut, office open and staff friendly and ready to help you. This is now a safe family environment.

For Rainbow Lake Cabin and RV Resort: Apparently nothing has changed since the reviews in 2019. We spent 2 nights and never saw the manager, the 24 hour laundry was locked up tight and we would have not gotten the cable tv supplies if it weren’t for the maintenance lady who happened to see us the afternoon before we left. When we showed up at the office to pay the bill, the maintenance lady saw us and collected the cable supplies reporting that the manager wouldn’t be in this morning. If the manager isn’t going to be around on the weekend, she needs to give her helpers access to the office. You can tell that this place was really nice back in the day, but it needs some serious work before you could even come close to calling it a “resort”.

Scott G

For Rainbow Lake Cabin and RV Resort: This park has a lot of potential, but needs a TON of TLC. The RV/Trailer section is more like a tight (lightly covered) gravel parking lot. There is one shared toilet/shower, and not the cleanest by far. The little trout pond is ok, but there wasn’t any food in the pay-as-you-go fish feeder to feed them. The higher ratings for this park cone from the fact that the Lincoln National Forrest is right behind the park, and offers great hiking and wildlife sightings. We may be back, but will first look for parks that are a little more well kept.

For Rainbow Lake Cabin and RV Resort: This park needs some TLC. Yes it’s basically a dirt lot with hookups that becomes a mud pit in rain or snow. This park desperately needs a thick layer of gravel and better drainage installed. The sites are very cramped. They don’t have the feel of separate sites, just separate parking spaces in a dirt field. The only positive is that there is a forest fire trail immediately behind the park so there are beautiful hikes immediately outside your door.

For Rainbow Lake Cabin and RV Resort: Wifi intermittent. Was told that it was that way all over town. But not at 2 restaurants we went too. Requires cable box, but their tech installed mine. Space tight, but it is that way at most of parks in town.

For Rainbow Lake Cabin and RV Resort: Spent single night here June, 2018. High points are it is surrounded by tall pines and fire road access allows for long nature walks, hook ups and laundromat. Low points: the rainbow pond was being drained and stinks up the whole park, close to busy road, needs a lot of grounds maintenance, creek is very small but pretty. Staff are kind and attentive!

HamsterTX

For Rainbow Lake Cabin and RV Resort: Friendly staff, spaces are close together, but the park backs up to the Lincoln National Forest, so the closer spaces are offset by having woods and trails right at the end of the path. Deer came through the park nightly. We stayed Thur-Sun two weeks before school started, so Friday and Saturday were busy. Thursday and Sunday were very peaceful. We will be back in October to see the leaves change. We didn't use the showers, so I don't know how they looked. Our space had full hookups - 30/50 amp, water, sewer, and digital cable (get a box from the office). WiFi was ok. It got bogged down in the evenings on Friday and Saturday, but with a full park, that would be somewhat expected. Water pressure in our spot was great. Make sure you bring a pressure regulator if you don't have one built in. We didn't have to chase the water around the shower in the trailer to get wet. Overall, a really good park. We will be back.
