For Santa Rosa Campground RV Park: We didn’t use any facilities but the park was pretty, and neat and had a small tree at each site. The wi-fi was pretty fast. Since there were mixed reviews about the friendliness of the manager, I wondered about it when we decided to try the place; but once there, found out that the owner has a “different†sense of humor and is the kind of person who could tend to be a bit gruff to some people. He’s fine! We would definitely stay again. We were here 2 nights.

For Santa Rosa Campground RV Park: We found this campground on AllStays and chose it because the app said it has showers. It doesn’t. Called the number and voice recording says the hours are until 6 pm, (it’s about 8 pm), and how there’s an envelope box in front for after-hours check-in/payments and to NOT proceed until after paying. My husband didn’t see the box and by the time I said, “I think that was it,†he’d passed it. He slows to turn around, he points out a man on a golf cart who is now speeding up to us. My husband fumbled with the automatic window (first trip in our almost-finished van.) “Can I help you?†the clearly angry man asked. Surprised by his tone, my husband and I reply simultaneously. “Where do you register?†said my flustered husband, as I blurt, “we are looking for the envelope box,†eager to prove our honorable intentions. Unmoved by my sincerity, cart guy rebukes, “No, you weren’t. It’s right there and you guys blew right past it.†Determined to clear things up, I explain, “The voicemail said to pay at the box, and we were - “. Interrupting, he insists, “You weren’t looking, you didn’t stop.â€
Wow! I think. He thinks we are ..., sneaking in! Hearing the chill in my voice, I say, “Noooo, no. We aren’t.... that’s not us,†I finish lamely , forgetting the word for “squatters.â€
Having heard enough, my husband sighs angrily,, “Look buddy, do you want our money or not?†as I inflate like a bullfrog behind him. Angry cart dude (is that the same voice on the recording? I wonder) says through gritted teeth, “Go to the payment box and pay, and I will lead you to a site.â€
Husband - ever practical - asks, “Do you have showers?†“You’re not self contained?†asks the indignant enforcer.. Hubby: “No.†Almost smugly, our new friend says, “You have to be completely self contained. I can’t help you.†To the relief of all, we said good-bye.
Now we are tired, insulted and I need a shower. Pass on this place.

For Santa Rosa Campground RV Park: Very nice roadside campground situated up on a hill. Very pretty with far-reaching views in 3 different directions. Stopped in for just one night while passing through and was treated very kindly by the owner and the staff. They put us in a nice shady site without even asking for it (it was a hot day in the 90’s). Had a good BBQ dinner in their restaurant behind the office. Not sure where some of the other poor reviews are coming from, as our experience was excellent as we had numerous interactions with the opener (Chris) and some of his staff. Would nightly recommend this place and the price is right! Give them a try!

For Santa Rosa Campground RV Park: We stopped into do a late check in and was met by a person in a golf cart. We were told that we could not stay there due to our pop up trailer not being self contained. He told us it would not be possible for us to stay at any campground in New Mexico. He was rude and Barbara the closest to him thought shrieker he was drinking. I would avoid this place.

For Santa Rosa Campground RV Park: Rustic and friendly place. Sites are gravel/ dirt mix. If staying for longer than 1 day, request to be put near back or at least away from single nite users. Friendly staff. No issues. Did not use Restrooms or showers.

For Santa Rosa Campground RV Park: The campgrounds during the COVID crisis were very, very busy en route to going home. We stopped here but definitely needed to check if there were any sites available at all. His LARGE board that tells you to STOP does not tell you if any sites are available nor how you would know if there were any sites available. Just STOP ! YOU MUST REGISTER ! We decided to drive in to insure that there was a spot left. Out comes Speeding a van. The guy was extremely GRUMPY and RUDE ! Then after checking in, once again sped out in his golf cart muttering and rudely commanded us to follow him. He sped along in his golf cart while we continued to go slowly.... we could barely keep up. Pull into a site and he sped off without a word. Decent campground..dude needs anger management badly. Along with the big bold sign should be a BEWARE OF GRUMPY DUDE sign as well.

For Santa Rosa Campground RV Park: Ok place to stay but CHRIS that answers the phone and check you in is the rudest person I have ever met in an RV Resort. Tried calling twice to reserve a spot and was told he was too busy and to just come. After arriving I greeted him friendly and once again he was rude for the entire check in and to the other person waiting to check in. He obviously cannot handle the stress of working with the public. I was going to eat in their restaurant but wasn’t going to give them an extra dollar.
