For Randolph Rampy RV Park: Mayor Update! This place is now an amazing stay. Even though I would have thought that before. any place that gives you free power water sewer and trash is pretty awesome. First of all, the power boxes that everyone had said we're in bad shape or completely broken are still here but don't let them fool you. The have installed poles that have brand new power boxes all 20/30/50! We pulled in at night and I saw the old power pedestals and thought wow, I am not sure I want to plug in here and didn't want to stay because I need to use my generatorAnd there were two other campers already parked there. Plus it is so quiet I didn't really want to disturb it. While thinking that I had the weirdest thing happen. our truck horn just decided to start blaring and freak out so we had to jump out to pull the fuse out to get it to stop. Since I was out there anyways, I decided to take a closer look and found the poles with the power boxes on the backside of them. Very lucky coincidence almost like I was meant to stay here. A big thanks to the county for having this amazing overnight place for RV guests to stay. A sign on the premises reads "You are free to park here courtesy of the county with a 3-day maximum stay". However the 3-day has been scratched out on the sign not sure if that has changed. We will buy our fuel food and propane and this town if possible.

Louis Flores

For Randolph Rampy RV Park: Good Morning, My family and I stopped to take a break from driving and I needed to take care of some work and homework. We were surprised to see that this location is free. There are 5 pull througs with a dump, 20/30/50 electric hook ups, and a water spigot at each site. As previous comments mentioned, the sites are used and a little old. We arrived at night and there was only one other RV there. I got out with a flash light and inspected the sites to find the right one to setup. Most of the water spigots are missing the turn handles and you will need a set of pliers to turn on the water. Two of them were submerged in their own water. The water spigots are a little hidden. Just look at the ground near the old electrical panels and you’ll see a metal cover that you need to move to reveal the water spigot. There are newer electrical panels installed on wooden posts with the 20/30/50 connectors. There are also old and non functioning electrical panels mounted on concrete posts on the ground. I didn’t see any problems with the newer electrical panels. The sewage dump pipes are located separate from the water and electricity. The pipe is near the road on the northern side of the sites. You will notice the metal cap for the pipes and some are chained. The sites are level concret ground in a safe community park. Residential areas are immediately to the south of the park and most of the town and stores are within minutes of the site. I hope this helps, but you can’t beat free sites with hook ups! Thank you Tantum Community! Louis Flores

For Randolph Rampy RV Park: I was there middle of Oct. 2019. Place was full and there were 3 other campers parked near the ball field. The electric was fine in the site I was in. The water and sewer is another matter. But it beats parking at Walmart.

For Randolph Rampy RV Park: A quiet night at the end of October (2018). I only found 5 spots (4 with electric) in a parking lot set up - which was fine. I was happy to have a quiet place to park and electricity for the night. No other perks (the baseball restroom was in need of cleaning...) - but again, I was only here for the night - and was happy to have a nice area to walk my dog (and I picked up after him 🤠). No other RVs.

For Randolph Rampy RV Park: Previous reviews are correct, the camping area is rundown but I’m not sure what people expect for free. I only counted 5 pull through electric sites, did not find running water at those. I could not really count the total number of sites as the are not well defined. The camping area shares the lot with the community center which appears to be unite nice. Directly across the street is a baseball field. Adjacent is a large park area with large covered area and restrooms. The restrooms have running water and are relatively clean. All in all, not bad for free.

For Randolph Rampy RV Park: Just arrived and not too impressed. Old power poles still erected, new power is attached to light poles. Parking lot is not in the best shape although it is level and there is a dumpster to use. The water and electricity is on one side of each site and the sewer is on the other. This is very odd and we had to park catty-wompus to be able to access each utility connection. What is most troubling is that twice the power popped, the fridge went off and continued to beep. We disconnected 50 amp and used 30 amp because we have a surge protector for it. Again, power popped, fridge went off and continued beeping. We disconnected completely from the power and will be using our generator. We are only staying because it is going to be very, very windy tonight and we need to be off the road. I appreciate the effort the city of Tatum has made, but I do not feel comfortable using the electric provided. YMMV if you have an electrical monitoring system in your rig. We will be getting one very soon. BTW, we were there on a Sunday and did not see a soul.

For Randolph Rampy RV Park: This is a nice campground 30 miles from the Texas state line in New Mexico. You can stay for up to three day for free. Great place if your like me and stay off the interstates.
