Hillary

For KOA Journey Tucumcari: There are not many places on this stretch of I-40 for fresh water. We are KOA members, we needed water not a stay. I called and the woman made it clear that they “are not in the business of selling water, and it would be $15.” Go to mountain road rv park just west of here: $5 for fresh water fill and very kind people.

For KOA Journey Tucumcari: Great campground for an overnight stay. Right off I40 so easy off / easy on. Stay here on 9/26/21 in a Class C MH. Sites were level and spacious. We had view from site. Some road noise but not enough to disturb your sleep. Bathrooms were clean and well maintained. We gave it 4 stars because it was a little expensive for what it offered, especially for an overnight stay.

For KOA Journey Tucumcari: Nice clean park had a pull thru 50 amp. Facilities were clean. Had good cable. Ordered breakfast and was delivered to the RV as there was no eating in house cause of some Covid rules still. Would stay here again.

Lucinda

For KOA Journey Tucumcari: Very confident off I40 with lots of freeeway noise, but otherwise a quiet compound. Large lots, black gravel level pull-through, good dog walking areas. It rained all night and drainage was good. Didn’t use facilities. I would come here again.

JamuJoe

For KOA Journey Tucumcari: Tightly spaced gravel sites. Fortunately in March only every other site was occupied. No paved pads or patios. Stones throw from I-40, so there is some traffic noise. Small fenced dog yards and a good dog walk where tents might be otherwise. Premium price for an average campground.

Dean

For KOA Journey Tucumcari: Very clean and well-maintained level sites, lots of pull-through, some concrete pads. Big rig and dog friendly. The host was very friendly and escorted us to our site. Convenient and clean showers and restrooms. Just off I-40 and close to town. Would definitely stay again.

For KOA Journey Tucumcari: Great campground and great staff. Food order was spot on and hot even after they delivered to coach. This place could be a 5 star campground once they get the sites scraped level and re-gravel or paved. We had a paved site but most are not. Will stay here again.
