For Louise Falls Campground: We were looking for a place to stay to break up long drives to and from points north in the NWT. We're self-contained and don't use the facilities except for an occasional shower. We stayed weeknights in late July in our 8 metre (25 foot) MH.
This is a very nice, small CG. The staff is friendly and helpful. There are 28 sites which are gravel, mostly level pull-throughs. Most sites are shaded. The C loop is newer, a bit more open with more sun. There is a washroom with flush toilets, showers and laundry in the centre of the CG in the B loop and pit toilets in each loop. The push button showers were clean with ample hot water and water pressure. There was good ATT and Verizon cell coverage while roaming on Bell.
There's a day use area near the CG with a playground. The short trail to Louise Falls leaves from the CG. The trail to Alexandra Falls is 4.5 km (<3 miles) round trip. The trail to the Escarpment Falls is 10 km (6 miles) round trip from the CG. Services - groceries, restaurants, fuel, potable water, dump - are available in Hay River, 31 km (19 mi) north of the CG. There may be fuel at Lucy's Motel 8.5 km (5 miles) north of the CG.

For Louise Falls Campground: Very clean park. Sites are far apart so relatively private and quiet. Be aware there is potable water but only in the shower rooms. No potable water for filling your trailer or RV tank. Also there is no dump station in this park.
