For Lower Lehman Creek - Great Basin National Park: Since this park doesn’t take reservations & fills up quickly by mid morning, we took the first nice & level spot in Lower CG, which only has 11 sites, several too small for our 24’ motorhome. Later we looked at the upper CG, which has more sites but less privacy & preferred the lower CG. Bathrooms looked brand new & were cleaned beautifully every day & stocked w TP but no hand sanitizer. The visitor center & the caves tour are closed due to Covid, but the café is open w friendly staff. If you plan to drive to the top parking lot of Mt Wheeler to hike, do it early because parking fills up fast!

For Lower Lehman Creek - Great Basin National Park: June 2019 (Friday). Campground filled in the early afternoon. Great spot in the trees relatively close to the visitor center. Roads were paved in the campground and it was quite.

For Lower Lehman Creek - Great Basin National Park: Both Upper and Lower Lehman creek campgrounds were packed on a late July weekend. They do not take reservations. Park website says they rarely fill, but this is wrong. We got the last site in either at around 1:00 on Friday afternoon. All cave tours were full but they opened up walk-ins at 8:00 Saturday am because they had extra staff available. Dump station (located at the cave visitor center) is closed “until further notice†as of July 2018.

For Lower Lehman Creek - Great Basin National Park: We arrived in mid afternoon in early October 2017. We were surprised with the number of folks already there. We had only a couple of sites to choose from in both the Upper and Lower Lehman Creek Campgrounds that would fit our 27' motorhome and toad! We did find a site though where we (albeit tight) fit both vehicles! The fall colors were spectacular though where they remained and it was wonderfully quiet and peaceful! We enjoyed the drive to the top and the dusting of snow along the roads. We did not do the cave tour because it was FULL - very surprising in October in the middle of no-where! It was a testament to the popularity of America's National Parks to foreign tourists in what used to be the "off-seasons!"
Beautiful spot if you find yourself in Eastern Nevada!

For Lower Lehman Creek - Great Basin National Park: Very quiet with paved sites. The sites weren't very level and even with leveling blocks we could only reduce the grade about halfway. There is a hiking trail from the campground that leads up to several other trails. The road leading up to campground is an 8% grade and just past the campground continues to the top but is restricted to 24' or less.
