For Thousand Trails Las Vegas RV Resort: Another thousand trails dump. You get what you pay for which isn’t much. The whole place feels depressing. Laundry didn’t work, dumpsters overflowing, pool was green, just dirty and awful. A few sites had Permian the residents who had taken over a site and a half which then screwed up the rest of the row because everybody was off. Very depressing place.

For Thousand Trails Las Vegas RV Resort: Guard gate staff was kind at check-in. They also manually opened the gate on several occasions during our stay after we presented our tow car parking pass. Office staff was also fantastic. Very cramped back-in sites with limited tree cover. Park is located in an extremely rough section of town. We went to the Albertsons on Nellis Blvd and there were about a dozen homeless people loitering outside the entrance. Upon exiting with our groceries we immediately noticed 2 officers handcuffing someone right next to our car. Danger alert! The park also had a fair amount of young tattoo-clad scary looking individuals strolling about. The sight of these folks did not inspire feelings of safety. Activity center had a large TV with cable and the air conditioning was excellent. Too bad that a large group of boisterous adult buffoons who showed up to gamble ruined our experience. We observed one woman in the activity center chatting at length with a staff member, so they are likely full-time residents. Please learn some respect for others! Restroom 3 had the worst washers and dryers that we have encountered in over a year of full time RVing. Washer did not spin hardly any water out of the clothes and dryer had almost no heat. The best thing about our stay was the Jabba wifi. We paid extra for this and it worked great at our site. TIP: Go to the Watermill Express station up the road near Shell for water refills. The generous pouring mechanism actually gives you a full gallon of water (unlike most places.) This Thousand Trails park could use some improvement.

Our Epic Field Trip

For Thousand Trails Las Vegas RV Resort: Situated just five miles from The Strip and five miles from the Fremont Street Experience, this campground is a great option for a home base to see the Vegas area attractions. That said, you won't want to hang out in this park. Very tight spaces. Few amenities beyond a small pool. Bathrooms and laundry areas are dated, inadequately cleaned, and not in good condition. Lots of city noise, including LAS flight path. See more details in our blog post at: https://ourepicfieldtrip.com/2020/02/22/thousand-trails-las-vegas-rv-resort-las-vegas-nv-campground-review/

For Thousand Trails Las Vegas RV Resort: Everyone knows that TT Las Vegas is very tight - probably the tightest spots I've seen in the TT system. However, this park is 20 minutes from the Las Vegas Strip so if you're into the bright lights and spectacle of that, this is a great place to be. The staff is great, the park clean, the pool nice. You are 'in-town' so shopping and restaurants are close by. The front gate accepts packages at no charge. There is Wifi at the lodge but the signal you can pick up from your rig is not useful for anything. Really though, if you're here for the Strip - who cares? THe park is 40 minutes from Hoover Dam and 30 minutes from Red Rock Canyon. Death Valley is 2.5 hours away but certainly doable as a day trip. Now then, if you are wanting to 'Camp', this is probably not the park you want. You can sit outside but it is far from quiet. If your neighbor snores, you'll know it. While the moniker "Sin City" is probably accurate on the Stip, where this park is located would be more appropriately named "Helicopter City" with overflights throughout the day and evening. Sirens and traffic noise ate frequently heard. So really, the consideration is where the park is: an urban area. Past that, and the tight spaces, it's really fine.

For Thousand Trails Las Vegas RV Resort: Stayed here two separate times for four nights each. Not a bad place for the price and location in Vegas. It’s marginally clean and the sites are pretty close to one another. The pool and hot tub aren’t bad. They’re what you’d expect from a budget hotel. We have a TT membership and I needed to be here for work. It was really the best option.

For Thousand Trails Las Vegas RV Resort: I wanted to really like this "resort" as we pay good money annually to Thousand Trails! Upon check in the young man at the gate was less than helpful as he was consumed by his anime cartoon playing on the computer screen. I had to ask if there was any paperwork for me and nothing more was explained. The pool and activity center are closed due to a tree crushing the building in February. Really wish the reservations woman would have informed me of that as its Vegas in the blazing heat! Also there isn't Wifi! Not just your regular crappy campground signal... THEY DONT HAVE WIFI!
