For Grand Sierra Resort Casino and RV Park: Do anything you can not to stay here.
Bare gravel parking lot with almost no trees and lots of noise from nearby airport.
Very expensive and additional $20 Reno fees on top of the Rv fees.

For Grand Sierra Resort Casino and RV Park: This was a horrible park, very small area no grass no picnic table no place to sit outside. Our neighbor ran their generator all night long threw cigarette butts on the ground, had three loose dogs no water outside for them and they left for the day. In the bathroom in the men's room there were used hypodermic needle's, broken locks for the showers, broken shelves for shampoo & conditioner. We moved a few miles north to a really nice park called Bordertown Casino in RV park. It has grass picnic tables and a really nice place to sit outside well worth the drive.

Bailey

For Grand Sierra Resort Casino and RV Park: I stayed for one night and found the entire experience frustrating. If you arrive late the RV office is closed and you need to go to the front desk of the casino to register and they know nothing of the RV section. Initially I was assigned a gravel site that was unlevel, even though they had numerous empty paved sites closer to the casino. I moved to a different site. Then when I shared my frustrations to the manager she seemed more frustrated because they are two different departments than responding to my situation. There isn't a shuttle and the walk is a ways from the back half of the park. I wasn't given keys to access the bathrooms nor a receipt and because the entire experience was difficult, I didn't realize it until I had walked halfway back to the site. I will not stay here again.

Rob Steele

For Grand Sierra Resort Casino and RV Park: Typical casino campground. They don't accept cash for campsite payment. Just credit cards. The resort was nice, pool looked nice, inexpensive theatre, inexpensive bowling (Saturday night black light bowling was fun), buffet was excellent and they had a senior discount.

CeeCee

For Grand Sierra Resort Casino and RV Park: We spent two nights here in June 2015. My only reason for giving it four stars is that it is basically a gravel/concrete lot. No trees, grass, fire pits, picnic tables, or any other ambience. However, it was quiet and the staff were very friendly and helpful. Internet service was the best we've ever had at an RV park. We had access to the hotel pool as well. Also, you can't beat the central location.

Ed Dresch

For Grand Sierra Resort Casino and RV Park: I'd give this campground a higher rating, but it is the only place in our travels of over 3 years that charge for mail delivery. The biggest problem is that I called ahead of time for the correct address and they gave me GSR RV at 2500 E. 2nd. My mail was delivered at the office in the casino and they informed me THEN that there was a $5 fee for receiving mail. I, of course, refused to pay the $5 and remarked that I should have been told about the fee in advance, so that I could either agree or disagree and have my mail sent elsewhere.
The casino office said that the RV folks were supposed to tell people about the fee and when I relayed all of this to the RV office, they acted like it was news to them. It seems like the left hand doesn't know what the right hand is doing.
If you are going to have mail delivered to you, you might want to check on their policy. This Casino apparently has need of $5 for a simple acceptance of a piece of mail ... that should be a courtesy to a paying guest

Dennis

For Grand Sierra Resort Casino and RV Park: We visit Reno quite often in our motor home and we always stay at GSR. It's central location puts you near most all of the events in the Reno/Sparks area. As for the park, it is clean and and nicely landscaped with short evergreen hedges between spaces and medium sized trees that make it nice for those with rooftop satellite TV. The staff has always been friendly and very accommdating. The best part is all the things there are to do right there on the property. From the pool with cabanas, the driving range on a lake, bowling, $3.00 movie theater to name a few. The casino has many different restaurants, from steaks to pizza etc. Most any thing you need, it's there. Overall we've found it enjoyable every time we stay here.
