For Wellesley Island State Park: LOVE THIS CAMPGROUND! Our site 20 was amazing (section H, only power) but huge. Great hiking. Especially the eel/lake trail. Nature center was nice. Wonderful sunsets. The only thing that bothered me was the push button shower. Which is small peanuts in the scheme of things. You will not be dissappointed with your stay. (. At least during the week, not sure of weekends)

For Wellesley Island State Park: Stayed there early June 2019. Great place to stay. We stayed in a fully serviced site that had paved and level spots. That particular area was quite popular but it was quiet and family friendly. One thing to consider is that there is a toll bridge to get to this park and you have to pay the toll each time you go out of the park. If you are doing a lot of sight-seeing in the area you may wish to be aware of this additional cost.

For Wellesley Island State Park: This campground is amazing! We stayed here in mid September in a 24 foot trailer, in a secluded spot on the water. We were greeted cheerily by a young man, who was so helpful in Xing out all of the sites that were unavailable, and letting us know which had good water views. We opted for 9, which we had to back into, for quite a way, and then level one side of the trailer. It was without hookups, because we prefer views and solitude, and the hookup sites are usually in a “parking lot†situation, without any privacy, which is what you get here. Most of the loops were closed for the season, so we got a spot in Deer. It was nice and shady, with a great little peninsula that we sat on for hours, watching a mink fishing, after it almost ran over my feet, as we were sitting there. Even though it was in the mid eighties, we never felt hot. Nice and quiet here! You have to pay a toll of $9.00 Canadian, less in American dollars, to get here, over a very narrow bridge, so once you’re here, you’re kinda trapped, so get supplies ahead of time. One of our best experiences in 2 years of traveling full time!

For Wellesley Island State Park: Very nice grassy campsites, most with trees. We wanted electric only, but there are other combinations in September it is very empty. Not a lot of water sites. Great dump station. Perfect location do going to Boldt Castle, boat house and antique boat museum.

For Wellesley Island State Park: Wonderful park with big grassy sites, about a third of them with a tree or two. My only ding would be, like the other NY State Parks we've stayed at, the sparsity of potable water access points, although with two or three hose lengths you can connect from most sites.

For Wellesley Island State Park: Great state campground. Only 30 amps, we stayed at electric only site ( there are full hookup sites) Sites could of used a little maintenance but not bad, use ground pads even if on black top, very thin. Staff was great. Very big, and family friendly. Just be careful with pets there are loops that don't allow pets.
