For Hickory Ridge Golf and RV Resort: Wow. From the pictures I like e and the brochure we expected a nice, campground feel and nice sites at Hickory Ridge RV Resort. It is not. Most sites here are populated with embedded seasonal campers. The regular sites are narrow, short, and not well cared for. Though heavy rains preceded our arrival and some puddles are to be expected, our F-450 nearly didn’t make it through the site. The deep, muddy ruts grabbed the dually rear tires as we jockeyed our 45’ 5er into place and we had to kick into 4W. The resort asks for rig details when making the reservation, which we did 5 months earlier, so our size was not a surprise.
We were also told there would be room for a small tent on our site. If you have one of the roomy seasonal, yes. Otherwise, don’t plan on it.The good thing is the sites are very level!

For Hickory Ridge Golf and RV Resort: Stayed for a month to see all the sites from Niagara to the finger lakes. Only thing that went wrong was cable tv didn’t work then told you need a box from Spectrum I called them and they said to get a box you need to be s customer so we had to use our antenna. Not good if you advertise cable. Bad thing is office didn’t seem to care.

For Hickory Ridge Golf and RV Resort: Quite a nice park, especially for this area. Nevertheless I am deeply disappointed in a camp policy: As a fisherman, I was excited to read of the fishing pond touted in the brochure and website. However no visitor is allowed to place their watercraft in the pond! Invasive species is given as the reason, yet there is no way an inspection, or cleansing can earn access. You can rent a kayak for $5 an hour, which to me seems like the real driving force for this policy. A high end / high price park should offer complimentary or reasonably priced watercraft if invasive species are a concern. There are more dimensions upon which to rate a park, but some generate enough anger to taint the experience.
