For Punderson State Park: Stayed at site 10. Full hookup Paved but very slopped. Likewise the site was pretty with the lake right behind us! Site was pretty decently spaced apart Stayed with a 34 ft 5th wheel Parking for truck was tight. Would come back but try for a more levels spot.

For Punderson State Park: We live nearby, so this was our “test trip” away from home in our new motorhome. We stayed for the first 2 weeks of April and had an extreme variety of weather. It rained a ton, so our site got very muddy, but we also got very hot weather and cold enough to use our heat. Cleveland huh. We’d been here before tent camping, but stopped due to the abundance of poison ivy near tent sites. This time we picked a site with full hookups and everything was supposed to be turned on by April. It was not. No water or sewer access for our first few days, even though we paid for it. Even the bathroom nearby was still closed. Our site was so unlevel, our leveling system could not even correct it, so we had to pull forward a lot to get it the best we could. We brought our electric car, which needs to charge frequently, and originally pulled it behind the motorhome to plug in. Lady at checkin said no driving on grass, but we could charge it in the empty site next door. (When we originally checked in, no one was there, so we had nobody to ask about things such as this). Next thing we knew, we had the natural resources police in our site yelling at us about being in that site using the electric! We were very close to the parking lot, so we felt like we were being watched the entire time we were there. During our stay we saw multiple vehicles that must have driven over grass to be in their location and also people utilizing next door sites. We definitely felt targeted and nervous during our stay. We ended up moving back in our site a little to fit the very small car parallel parked in front. On a positive note, the lake is very pretty and the campground is nice to walk in. Bathrooms were cleaned every day and campground was clean overall. Verizon cell signal spotty and no public WiFi (even if they say they do, it’s not true). I’m on the fence over recommending this park, things are probably fine for most campers.

For Punderson State Park: This is a pretty park, well off the beaten path but with so few choices in Cleveland it was the best we could find. There was a lot of rain so, of course, our site was quite muddy. Most sites are not level, but very spacious. Once the weather cleared we enjoyed riding our bikes around the park and down to the lodge. The lodge is worth a visit for a cocktail on the patio. Terrific views. We are self contained so did not use facilities.

For Punderson State Park: This is a nice place to stay. Pads are pretty un-level and bathrooms are old but work. Lots of fun stuff to do here.
