For Forked Run State Park: Secluded - no one on our entire loop. That was nice.
Showers were decent - on women’s side, water never got warm; on men’s side, water approached lukewarm. Electric service had issues - brown out (around 60V) on second night. No water at sites. Pit toilets.

For Forked Run State Park: We were looking for a campground with full services after a week of boondocking. We're self contained and don't use the facilities except for an occasional shower. We stayed on a Saturday/Sunday in late October in our 25 foot MH.
This CG is quite nice. There are 5 loops. The layouts appear similar. Loops 1, 2, 3 are reservable, while 4, 5 are walk in. Loops 1, 2, 5 have electric while 3, 4 are primitive. Loop 1 has pull throughs. We stayed in loop 3. Sites are arrayed along both sides of the loop road and a circle at the end. The sites are back/drive in with a paved pad surrounded by grass. Most need leveling. The sites vary greatly in size and some are better for tents or RVs. Most are good sized. Tall trees provide shade and not privacy between sites. There are pit toilets throughout. There are two 16-stall shower houses shared by the 5 loops. They're a bit dated and clean with ample hot water. There's a dump station with potable water in the center of the CG. Cell coverage varies throughout the CG. There's usable ATT and Verizon cell coverage at the end of Loop 3.
There are at least 3 hiking trails in the CG. There's a swim beach at the lake and a boat ramp for small boats (10 mph limit). There's a nature center, disc golf, horseshoes near the lake and swingsets in loops 1, 3, 5.

For Forked Run State Park: Stayed here for one night. Very quiet campground, not easily accessible if twisty hilly roads are not your thing.
We stayed on site 19; it was a little difficult finding a level site, though all sites had paved pads.
Shower house was nice, but if you are shorter than 5'5", you'll have to do the limbo to rinse your hair!
Pit toilets were separate from shower house.
All in all, a clean, well-run, quiet campsite.

For Forked Run State Park: Quiet rustic place. We will come back to get away from it all.
