For Birch Cove: Great wooded campground on the lake. Unfortunately no firewood for sale on site. Each spot has fire ring, charcoal grill, picnic table, power. Park includes playground, fishing dock and bathrooms although little dated, were very clean. Definitely worth the trip and nearby attractions in include the world’s only main street oil well and the grave of a famous local tribal leader among others. Cost $20 or $10 with senior pass. The other campground on this lake is closed.

For Birch Cove: There are two different campgrounds at this location. One of them does close on October 31st, the other one has 12 sites that is open all year. You can access the sites by turning left at the paved road right before the gate house. It offers electricity and there are some water spigots scattered about but none at the sites. There is a boat ramp by this campground that is used by the locals and is very busy. At the time this review was written, their electricity was not on, they were going to redo all of the electric grids between both campgrounds in early 2019. I was told that the daily rate was half price because the electricity was not available, and then with my senior annual pass, it reduced it another 50%, which means I paid $4 per day. Once electricity is restored the half price discount will no longer be offered. If you require electricity, call the Corps office before coming out.

For Birch Cove: Small lake with nice campground. May be back.
