For Sun Retreats Ipperwash: Pros: Quiet, close to the beach (5 min drive, 25 min walk), renovating underway, decent washrooms, pool, power/water at sites. Water is clean and tastes great. Very friendly staff.
Cons: Most of the 30 amp service are for seasonal people. Day rate campers do not have access to 30 amp service. Sewer not avail to day raters, no official dump station, but you can dump in one of their septic tanks on your way out. Power is only 15 amp. Seasonal campers seem to dislike the weekend campers. Speed limit is 10km/h (6mph) and strictly enforced by the road side campers (they must have radar guns in their pockets). No wifi available but we were told they're being upgraded soon. Bug spray, bug spray, bug spray!
Overall not a bad camping experience. They are very friendly and it is quiet. I enjoyed our time there, but wish there were a few more amenities. Grocery stores are not close, so make sure you stock up before you come, or are willing to drive a ways and pay $$$.
