For Pinery Provincial Park: Visited on a lovely fall weekday. HUGE campground w over 1000 sites, yet incredibly quiet in Oct. we were the only ones on the beach for the spectacular sunsets. No amenities open. We chose a premium site in the Dunes. Huge site next to beautiful dunes. Nice clean showers and bathrooms. Will return

For Pinery Provincial Park: We were looking for a place to stay in the general area, close to Lake Huron. We're self-contained and don't use the facilities except for an occasional shower. We stayed on a weekend night in late October in our 8 metre (25 foot) MH.
This is a nice, huge campground with over 1000 sites spread across 3 campgrounds - Burley, Dunes and Riverside. We stayed in Riverside which is open in late October with electric sites. The sites around the loops are generously sized and arrayed in a forested area with much greenery and privacy. (There's a section of sites near the shower/laundry facility where the sites are smaller and closer together.) The sites are dirt and most are level. Some of the sites have views of the Ausable Channel. The push button showers were clean. Since they were in an unheated space and it was 4C (40F), we did not use them. There was good ATT cell coverage while roaming on Rogers and good Verizon while on Telus.
There's much to do in this park - biking, hiking, swimming, bird watching, canoeing/kayaking - varying by season.
