For Harrison Park: We were looking for a place to stay that would be convenient for visiting sites in and around Owen Sound. We're self-contained and don't use the facilities except for an occasional shower. We stayed for 5 week nights in mid July in our 25 foot/8 meter motor home. Although we made reservations, the CG was not full during the week and walk-in sites were available. This is a very nice urban campground and the convenient location can't be beat. Although the sites are relatively close together, the sites vary in size and shape and many allow the ability to set up camp to create a sense of privacy. Most sites have shade at least part of the day. Some are riverside. Most are level with a grassy, gravel surface. All have water and electric. There are 3 washrooms spread out through the CG, 2 have showers. The showers have hot water with reasonable water pressure and are not metered. Note the shower is just a stall with no space for dry clothes - bring a bag or someting to hang your clothes outside the shower. There was good ATT coverage while roaming through Rogers and good Verizon coverage while roaming on Telus. The park wi-fi was usable most of the day. There's a dump station at the entrance/exit. There are several multi-use trails through the park leading into downtown Owen Sound and toward the Bruce Trail south. The hike from the CG to Inglis Falls is ~2 hours, round trip. There's free music playing in town almost every day - check to city website. Downtown Owen Sound is a 10 block walk from the CG. There're several large grocery stores for provisioning. The visitor center in town has lots of information on different activities and eating out. There's a restaurant in Harrison Park. There's a marina on the NW side of the city.

For Harrison Park: This is an older city park with tightly packed spaces. Bathrooms and showers could use updating, but are functional. With that said, this is a gem. There is a waterfall, swimming pool, mini-put, paddle boats, and a collection of peafowl. We hiked 3 km to the spectacular Inglis Falls and then bicycled into Owen Sound where the museum and galleries were fun. The location of this park is wonderful and it is a bargain at $32 including water, electric, and tax. We camped in a 22' Sprinter based Pleasure-way camper van.
