For Lick Creek Campground: We were looking for a place to stay that would be convenient to hiking trails along the Hell's Canyon Byway. We're self contained and don't use the facilities. We stayed on a Friday night in mid-August in our 25 foot MH.
This is a pleasant, small campground situated right along the Hell's Canyon Byway. The 12 campsites are relatively large. Most are level or require just a bit of leveling. Most have a mix of shade and sun. There's a pit toilet. There's no wifi or cell coverage. Situated within a hairpin turn, there's road noise during the day, however, there's not much traffic at night.
There are miles of dirt roads to explore from camp. Hell's Canyon Overlook is 21 miles away. The town of Joseph is 24 miles away.
