For Whitehorse Park: A little gem of a park kind of in the middle of nowhere. During our stay in mid May 2022 we were the only campers in the park. We had one of 8 full-hookup sites in the park. Short walk to the Rogue River. Not a whole lot to do other than short, flat hikes on the BLM land along the river but peaceful and quiet spot which is what we were looking for. Friendly, helpful camp hosts. Hook-ups are old, but they work. You'll need an adapter for your 30-amp rig since the electrical are simple household 110AC 15-amp posts.

For Whitehorse Park: Campground is old but well kept . Will be doing upgrades very soon . Only 17 sites available at the time being until updates are complete. Nice park , playground and shelter for get togethers . .25 miles to the boat ramp and small beach . Camp host keeps the park nice and clean.

For Whitehorse Park: This park has alot of potential..it is an older park. If you really want a great chance of seeing the extremely elusive north American tweaker this is the place! Several of them live right here in the park and unexpectedly more are always showing up. When a fight breaks out between them at 3 in the morning and after hours of tolerating them..when you finally have no choice but to call the sheriff they don't respond..hours later they called back to see if the fight stopped but never did anything! The camp hosts are constantly rotating because the last ones left after having their lives threatened buy these meth heads. But the current host and rangers obviously don't mind. Oh ya the shower and bathrooms are regularly destroyed during the nights..like torn shower curtains and benches mysteriously appearing in the shower stalls..did I mention all the tweaker children constantly bein loud and running through the camp sites at all hours..honestly there are a million better places to stay then here!! Try Griffin park..Schroeder..Valley of the rogue..Indian Mary..all extremely nice parks with nice hosts who don't tolerate this unnecessary inconvenience.. Good luck white horse

For Whitehorse Park: This is a great hidden gem of a campground. While it may not be right on the Rogue River where you can see it from your camp site, the river is just a short walk down the road or through the bird preserve and nature trail. Built in 1956, this is the oldest of the parks in Josephine County. There are 8 RV sites with 20 amp, water and sewer hookups and 40 tent sites and one yurt if you want to camp inside. There is also a great day use area for picnics and a play structure for the kids. My wife and I were the park hosts from August to November and loved meeting everyone who camped or just came out for the day. The park provides horse shoes for the newly remodeled horse shoe pits, tether ball and volley ball for use. We made the right choice in selecting this park to host in. Come on out and enjoy the Grandfather of all parks in Josephine County.
