For Ainsworth State Park: Loved this campground. Well maintained and clean. Beautiful trees and a couple of rabbits to welcome you. I recommend A sites because you have a little more space and don’t feel cramped. Some have complained about the road and trains. We heard one train and you can’t hear the highway. Great place to base camp and explore all the gorge has to offer!

For Ainsworth State Park: Worst site and state park experience to date. Awful check in. Park was only open for camping. There was a roadblock 1/2 mile from campground entrance. When we got there(3:10) we were told we had to wait until 4 and could not remain parked where we were. To turnaround and park where suggested it was a 26 mile drive. Ranger was late & we finally got to our unlevel small site about 4:30. Septic hookup was too far to reach. Will never stay here again.we had to leave park to find green space to walk our dog.

For Ainsworth State Park: Nice campground by state park standards. Restrooms and showers were very clean and worked properly. The A loop sites are a little steep and not perfectly level, the lower sites are more level and flat. Like most older campgrounds it’s a little tight getting in and out with rigs 30ft and over. We stayed overnight.

For Ainsworth State Park: I only used the showers. Excellent, clean showers.
But here are some general comments: like someone said there's a train line and interstate nearby. I was camping further east in a forest service CG and the trains were a nuisance. There are beautiful waterfalls just down the road though.

For Ainsworth State Park: Lots to see and do in the area! Decently level sites, semi private. Nice showers. The historic highway past the falls is VERY narrow and it gets BUSY on the weekends so pack your patience :)

For Ainsworth State Park: Nice park. Lots of pull through sites, mostly level. The one I reserved was not but the host had no issues moving us.
This is a great place to stay if you enjoy hiking and waterfalls. There are Mike's of trails right from the campground.
There are trains with occasional horns but they haven't bothered us.
There is a giant loop and we stayed up on top in the pull through a, up against the hillside.
Very clean park with friendly hosts.

For Ainsworth State Park: This is a bad site. Trains from every 15 to 45 minutes. Highway at 100 yards and free way noise never stops. Wherever someone came up with 4 stars is a total mystery.
