For Hershey RV & Camping Resort: We stayed here for the 2021 Hershey RV show. The campground is nice and clean. There are a variety of sites to choose from. We chose to be at the top of the hill in the H loop as the cell reception was better there than lower down. It was marginal where we were, but adequate to stream videos. To get work done, however, we had to use the campground's wifi. They have installed a pay by day/week/month wifi facility and it works just fine. The daily with speed needed for my wife to log into her vpn successfully was $5.95/day. It is cheaper if you use weekly or monthly plans, but we only needed 1 day of wifi. In the past, it seems that some sites were 30/50, but the 50 amp cost $3 extra per day. This was not the case when we were there. Any site with 50 amp could be used at 50 amp without further charge. My negatives are: 1. The ingress/egress road which is curvy and narrow. We checked in just after noon on the Sunday before the Hershey show. There was a line coming in, no big surprise, but there were still a few folks leaving and this made for a difficult ingress. We are in a 37' class A pulling a Ford Expedition. We followed in a HDT (semi tractor) pulling a Deluxe Suites Fullhouse trailer. Both that rig and ours could easily navigate the road without exiting traffic, but there were both cars and rigs leaving which made for an interesting time. We got it done, but there were only inches on each side to spare. 2. The campground is a first come, first served for sites. You have a reservation, but it is a scramble to claim sites. In a campground with adequate, but not overly wide roads, this can make for interesting times when it is a busy check in day. Further, this concentrates the traffic right at the noon checkin time. Had we had a confirmed site number, we would not have made the effort to be there right at noon. There really are no bad sites in the campground, but, as in any campground, some are better than others - i.e., there are a few sites that are not full hook ups. Would we return to this campground? Absolutely. It would be nice, however, if the check out time were separated from the check in time, both are at noon.

For Hershey RV & Camping Resort: Campground Name: Hershey RV & Camping Resort Location: Lebanon, PA Overall Campground Rating (1-5): 4 Maneuverability*: No issues Campground Notes: ‘B’ and ‘C’ loop are 30/50 amp but 50 amp has to be unlocked by a ranger for an additional fee. 50 amp is included in ‘H’ loop where we stayed. There is a big field that was fun to play wiffleball and fly kites. Site #: H9 & H30 Site Rating (1-5): 3 Site Notes: Full hookups, 50 amp. We wanted to stay in H loop and the only available spot when we checked in was H9 so we took it. H9 is a back-in spot. Unfortunately, it was under a large, dead tree that was covered in grapevines. Living in the grapevines were Spotted Lanternflies which left sticky “honeydew” all over our trailer. When hurricane Laura threatened, we move to site H30 to be away from the dead tree. H30 is a long, pull-thru site. H30 has some low limbs which brushed the top of our 12’ trailer so if you have a tall rig you might want to avoid it. Both sites had a picnic table and fire ring that were in good condition. Amenity Rating (1-5): 3 Amenity Notes: Due to Covid-19, laundry and bath houses in ‘H’ loop were closed. Main laundry was open but closed every two hours for 30 minutes for cleaning, so we went to a laundromat in town. Fishing in the pond was good, lots of sunfish and bass. Pool was nice, 3’-6” to 5’ deep. Mini-golf was open and clubs were available but you have to bring your own balls. They sometimes sold snacks by the pool. The playground was open and nice. There were paddleboats and an arcade but I’m not sure if they were open. There is no campground Wi-Fi. Reason for camping here: to visit Hersheypark, about 25 minutes away Miscellaneous Notes: there is a Giant and Walmart within 20 minutes. Sawasdee is a really good Thai restaurant. J&S Pizza was OK but not great. Dates Stayed: 8/17-30/2020 Price Paid: $0, Thousand Trails membership Weather: Highs in upper 70s to low 90s, very humid, some rain with hurricane Laura, mornings and evenings after sunset were pleasant Verizon Cell Quality**: 1-2 bars on hotspot and sometimes got 3 with antenna, no signal on cellphones at site but 1-2 bars down by pool. Even when antenna pulled in an extra bar, speeds didn’t really improve. Signal was very inconsistent, issues with even calls being dropped. Sometimes could stream HD and sometimes YouTube wouldn’t even load a video. Averaged 4.93 down and 1.22 up during our stay. Mail: Campground accepts packages. Paperwork says no USPS but we received a package. Ranger station holds packages. There was a USPS about 15 minutes away as well. * For reference we are pulling a 33’ long Jayco travel trailer with a 2016 F350 Crew Cab Short Bed 4x4 which is 22’ with hitch giving us a total length of 55’. **For reference we have two Google Pixel 2 XL on Verizon ‘Play More” unlimited data plans. For data we have an Inseego 8800L on Verizon’s expired prepaid unlimited hotspot plan. In areas of low signal we use a Netgear 6000450 MIMO antenna. For Hershey RV & Camping Resort: Overall, this was I very nice campground. The staff was extremely friendly. They had a lake, tennis courts, basketball court, mini golf, etc. This was our first time at a Thousand Trails campground. I was a lot confused/surprised when we first got there and we didn't have a lot. The lots are first come, first serve. So, we drove around until we found a spot available that had 50 amp service. They have very limited free 50 amp lots. The rest are $3/night. The bath house was clean. There is no cable or wifi onsite. You're definitely in as rural setting, so cell phone reception was weak. The campground is about 15-20 mins from the parks. The area surrounding the campground is very rural and beautiful. We would definitely go back.

For Hershey RV & Camping Resort: We had an amazing stay at this Thousand Trails Park. Lots to do in the area plus the park offers tennis & volleyball courts, playground, horseshoes, arcade, pool, ping pong and a lake for fishing. And I have to mention the beautiful indoor SPA which was open even before the peak season. The pool also looked amazing but doesn’t open until Memorial Day. I would absolutely recommend this park!

For Hershey RV & Camping Resort: This was a nice park but overly crowded, they charge members three dollars a night to use the 50 amp service. Not maintained as nice as it was years ago. This was my go to park but other then the area the park has really declined over the years. Very narrow and rough road leading into the park but passable by big RVs.

For Hershey RV & Camping Resort: For a Thousand Trails membership campground it's pretty nice. Clean sites and several big grassy areas for walking dogs. The maintenance crew was on the ball and they're improving the sites little by little with new gravel and upgraded electric hookups. They're on top of the social activities too, during my stay there was a car show and a couple bands playing at the main activity center by the pool. Love the area of town, has an old rustic country feel. Main downside is cell signal is extremely weak and there's no wifi, so if you're like me and need internet to get work done you're going to be spending a lot of time at coffee shops.

For Hershey RV & Camping Resort: This is one of the nicest Thousand Trails parks in the northeast. Even though it is very large, the layout makes it feel much smaller. Limited services during the shoulder seasons. Large, level sites good for big rigs, mostly back-in. Nice clubhouse, pool, large indoor "spa," tennis courts, mini-golf. One of our go-to parks for a quick getaway. Lots to see and do in this rural area.
