For Rocks Pond Campground and Marina: We selected this campground to see the total eclipse. The eclipse was great. The campground, not so much. Owner stated that the wifi had been struck by lightening. This left absolutely no way to communicate in and out of the campground. There's no cell service, at all. Not the owner's fault for that but they could have put more effort into getting the wifi working for such a big weekend. Restrooms are pretty much useless. Typical summer weather is 90 plus and there's no ventilation at all, more like a pill box torture chamber. The only saving grace was the site was fairly large and level, all grass. Also, full hookup worked great. There's a lakefront swimming area that is good for swimming, no life guards. Really don't need them unless you go more than a 100 yards out, gradual slope. The many full timers are not so friendly. I guess that's the result of watching numerous overnighters come and go. Quiet time is not enforced or followed. Loud music and partying until mid-night. We were there for convenience of the eclipse viewing. Don't plan on returning.
