For KOA Holiday Charleston: BEWARE, Run down, over grown hedges and grass. Red ant piles everywhere. Tight spaces, live ins all over. Unkept.

For KOA Holiday Charleston: Our site is disgusting. Upon arrival I picked up no less than 20 piles of dog poop and an entire grocery bag of trash. There was trash in the fire pit as well. When we walk we see piles of dog poop that you have to avoid. We have a dog and pick up everything he produces. I don’t understand why anyone would think it’s okay to leave dog poop. It’s disgusting and unsanitary. We can’t even sit outside because it smells like...you guessed it...dog poop. We did not mention it to the office because we don’t want to move after getting set up. We leave in a few days and will never be back. I’m also convinced the glowing review included on this page is for the other Charleston KOA location (Mount Pleasant KOA Charleston) as the review does not match our experience/price point.

For KOA Holiday Charleston: Best KOA we have stayed in so far. They received an extra star just for the staff. They were very helpful accommodating and responsive to concerns. Most sites are pretty close together but for KOA they are above average. Campground is well kept we had 50amp water sewer and cable. They have a swimming pool and garbage service at your rig. Enough room to maneuver big rigs. Pricey at a little over $70 a night with 10% discount. I'm not sure how that compares for the area.

For KOA Holiday Charleston: Waaaaay too many permanent long term residents. Sadly, this KOA is but a spill over from the Trailer Park next door. Spaces are super small. Unkept, loud airport nearby, trains, and traffic. Also bright high powered lights from a nearby business. Staff was friendly and professional.

For KOA Holiday Charleston: This koa is rough, looks to be longterm stay sites. They need to trim bushes , replace tables and cleanup. Not to the standards expected in my opinion. Moved to koa in Mt. Pleasant, more expensive but worth!

For KOA Holiday Charleston: Read tons of reviews and they are getting better! My 1st KOA and the Charleston KOA did not disappoint. I read several bad reviews and the staff said they were working on those. We had a great large site and they have a nice pool, playground and game room with tons of personal touches. Staff was super helpful. I wish had more time to do all the activities here. I would recommend again! I stayed in B1 and that spot was huge. Our first spot was probably the smallest spot we ever had but they let me move. Ps there is a cop posted up on the weekends. I asked him what’s up and he said they were looking for people who kept coming in to stay and not paying. He also mentioned he is there every weekend. I guess a good deterrent to keep the ones who don’t belong out.

For KOA Holiday Charleston: Love it! ‘Gloomy’? Try well shaded. Clean, level and large sites. Great staff. As close to Charleston as the Mount Pleasant KOA. Near several North Charleston breweries, and close to two Jo Ann Fabric stores. I lived in the flight path of Dulles Airport for 28 years, this place isn’t even close as far as noise.
