For Myrtle Beach State Park: One of my favorite campgrounds! Large with small but adequate sites, walk to dog friendly beach! Lots of bath houses - heated with hot showers. Has laundry room, camp store and giftshop with ice cream at the pier. Watch out for snakes in the leaf litter ugh! Must be packed in the summer! Stayed in March 2022 in 18' campervan

For Myrtle Beach State Park: We'd never been to South Carolina before and had no idea what to expect. We were thoroughly smitten with the coast and the city of Myrtle Beach, but we really loved camping in the state park. Eveything was clean, manicured, raked, and private. You can see your neighbor's camper, but usually behind some trees. We now understand the words "Carolina pines" better. They are tall, straight as an arrow, and beautiful. There are millions of them in this park. Our site was level with easy access. It was long enough for our truck and fifth wheel. It was surprising how secluded everything was, yet the city is really closeby. People were friendly. There was a bunch of kids riding bikes, having fun. Lots of parents enjoying cooking out with friends. The park was super quiet at night though. All of the staff seemed cheerful and like they enjoy their jobs. Every camper seemed good about picking up after their dogs, which was really nice. We haven't found that everywhere. The only negative I would give this place is that arrival is a bit confusing, especially with a big rig. It wasn't real clear how far back in the woods we were going to go before we came upon the check-in building. Then, it wasn't real clear that we needed to go around the circle of the little parking lot in order to come up alongside the check-in building. Luckily, we did it right, but there needs to be more signage out there spelling it out in detail along the way. When you're pulling a 40'+ fifth wheel with a big truck, you can't just turn around anywhere. We were afraid we were going the wrong way a couple of times. That can be anxiety-inducing.

For Myrtle Beach State Park: We like state parks over private RV parks and tried this park for our 2nd visit to the area. The park is beautiful. Very busy and campground almost full in early April.. We were is site 242 with 30AMP and water. Site was large, but we had a neighbor that had a small pop up with 4 -5 hammocks and a screen porch who basically spread out too far. The sites seem a bit mishmash and the RV’s and tenters should be in different sections. Did not use the bathrooms so no comment. I should also mention the international airport with jet planes coming and going. Not a real busy airport but nonetheless still loud. Plus all the barking dogs…. I will not say I would not go back because it’s very nice piece of green space, but I think we would have been happier at a not so busy time and a neighbor who was a little more considerate. Can’t blame any of that on the state park system.

For Myrtle Beach State Park: We stayed in Nov. I prefer the outer loop sites. There is more spacing in between spots. A nice short walk to the beach. Watch out for acorns! They come crashing down on the rig and truck. They offered snow bird deals and wouldn’t mind doing one winter.

For Myrtle Beach State Park: We stayed in site 63 which was secluded. Wooded on 2 sides and short walk to beach and camp store The other sites looked very tight together which I do not care for as we stay at our site during our whole visit so prefer the state parks that usually have m more distance. One thing to be wary of walking dog to beach be careful letting dog walk in brush. Our dog stepped off path and ended up with a spur in paw. Also watch out for horse crap

For Myrtle Beach State Park: What’s not to live about a state park on the beach with full hookups and laundry? The campground is not actually on the beach, but a very short walk. The beach is beautiful and quiet this time of year. Amazing sunrise! The spots seem hit and miss. We were super happy with our setup and location (239, loop 5), but we did have to use blocks to get level. The space was fairly private and spacious. The laundry room was an added bonus. We stayed away from town, but a great grocery store right across the street. After seeing the mega RV resorts nearby, we were super happy with our choice!

For Myrtle Beach State Park: This is a solid four and a half star, only lost the other half star because of noise with sight seeing helicopters and traffic. To be fair we were right next to the Dump station. Also the Wifi is very spotty but most state parks dont even offer Wifi. This is easy walking distance to the beach and the beach is beautiful. Lots of eating and entertainment close by. The price was right at $60 a night full hookups 30amp. Much cheaper than anything around. Well kept and very friendly hosts. The sight we stayed in was moderate in size but some are tight. We will definitely stay again.
