For Melton Hill Dam TVA-Melton Hill Reservoir: We were on site 31 for 4 days in this lovely, wooded campground with a swimming area and overlook. The gravel pad was fairly level & site was spacious with a nice concrete picnic table, post for a lantern, grill & fire ring with grill area. With heavy rain, the underlying clay soil becomes very soft. The park was full with tents, trailers & RVs. The pavilions were also in use daily. The store manager came outside to show us where the campsite was. The manager, Hardie, stopped & chatted. Steve helped our brother when he needed a tool. A couple of dumpsters were overflowing and not emptied Monday. The pavilions & swimming area are heavily used over the weekend, necessitating emptying by trash contractors on Monday! Now, for the bad news!! Bath houses were THE DIRTIEST that we have encountered, especially since COVID. Some stalls had no toilet paper intermittently. Taking a roll of toilet paper & leaving it seems considerate but 2 rolls were on the floor & unusable, in the men's room.Trash was emptied at the upper loop bath house. NO cleaning was done Saturday, Sunday or Monday. The same brown dirt, or excrement, streaks were on the wall by the toilet paper & outside door of one stall. There were hair clumps, a shaver guard, cigarette butts, pony tail band & a loofah on the shower floor. I finally reported these upper bath house issues late Monday to the store manager without an apology & response that 'they are short staffed & she can't go out to help but knows that they have been cleaned.'

For Melton Hill Dam TVA-Melton Hill Reservoir: Very nice campground next to the Melton Hill Dam, where the TVA is trying out various solar installations, which makes for an interesting stay.
Sites are on a hill, so pulling a rig up might be a challenge, but the park was clean and quiet. Well worth it to stay.
