For Rio Grande Village RV Campground - Big Bend National Park: Location, location, location! RGV is secluded on one side of Big Ben NP but only full hookup In the park. Sites are close. Good park store with one of only 2 gas stations in BBNP. Close to Boquillas del Carmen. Has laundry facilities, $2 for 5 minute shower at bath house.

For Rio Grande Village RV Campground - Big Bend National Park: We give this place a four star for local comparison purposes. It’s this or dry camping in Big Bend. Really tight sites but it has full hookup with sewer. Ultimately we spent so little time there it worked out great. Quiet at night. Did see a coyote nosing around the campground. Nice people and the store is really well stocked. That’s important since you’re a million miles from another grocery store. No cell service. Sketchy wifi.

More Whimsy

For Rio Grande Village RV Campground - Big Bend National Park: A parking lot in paradise. Remote from majority of park but it serves us well. Camp store was well stocked and staff was nice. The sites are fairly close to neighbors with one row having narrow grassy easement with table. On next visit we will stay in the CG w/o hookups as it was natural with shaded sites and space between.

For Rio Grande Village RV Campground - Big Bend National Park: Location ! Beautiful National Park! Campsites are in a parking lot with full services. Close together but it's about the location ... version poor ... any TV you must have satellite. Roads very good... remote location and felt safe. Traveling in a motorhome , towing.

For Rio Grande Village RV Campground - Big Bend National Park: Sites are located on a paved area with 25 full hook-up spots. Sites 1-14 are on one side and hold RVs no longer than 35-36 ft. 10 of these sites are wide enough for the RV plus one other vehicle. Four sites are single width and appropriate only for small RV's without a tow. Sites 15-25 are on the other side of the paved lot and are wide enough for a large RV and a vehicle. Yes, it is basically a paved parking lot but it is in an attractive grassy area with trees and bushes as well as picnic tables. There is free wifi at the nearby building that houses the store, laundry, restrooms, and coin operated showers. As of 10/2016 sites were $36 and showers $2 for five minutes.

Vespagirl

For Rio Grande Village RV Campground - Big Bend National Park: As other reviews have stated, this is a parking lot, but it is a parking lot with full hookups in Big Bend National Park. The Rio Grande Village store is close, and it offers pay showers and pay laundry, as well as pretty good Wi-Fi on the tables out front. Know which campground you are paying for before you make a reservation.

For Rio Grande Village RV Campground - Big Bend National Park: See other reviews for all you need to know. Add in that even Verizon does not get cell service here, you feel a bit too disconnected for the price. Only perk was close proximity to Hot Springs Canyon Trail.
