Phil

For Cascade Caverns Campground: I tent-camped here for one night while out on a solo bike tour of the Hill Country. The tent sites have electricity but no water (apparently there are spigots somewhere near the tent sites but I didn't see any). The bathrooms have showers with plenty of hot water and were clean. The tent camping sites are decent. I had a nice, quiet stay here and would probably return. The park never fills up. The price for my one-night camping stay was $40, which is too much but I still liked this place. The staff were friendly.

Todd

For Cascade Caverns Campground: Nasty and rude owner. Very run down park. Junkies everywhere.

For Cascade Caverns Campground: I love this place. It’s an actual campground, not a parking lot where you are packed in like sardines. Convenient to I-10 yet completely quiet. The staff was very friendly and accommodating. Shared the campground with 20 or 30 deer that call it home. Close enough to San Antonio to day trip in or even go for dinner. Very cool gift shop as well. This is my go to place when visiting SA.

Ensmitch

For Cascade Caverns Campground: Nice and quiet since it is 2 miles from the freeway. But very run down and not worth the $50 for 50 amp fhu and an uneven pull-through. Weeds and potholes abound; not every site has a “yard” or table; sites are on top of each other and trees are not trimmed for big rigs. Wi-if is Tengo-internet - need I say more. We were really looking forward to a nice quiet spot in the trees for the night but this just doesn’t cut it. This happens to be s Good-Sam Park and they should reconsider their affiliation. It’s too bad because with some appropriate landscaping and grounds work this would be a real gem!!! Stayed in a 34’ MH, Sept 2018

DaVida

For Cascade Caverns Campground: Waaay off major roads, nice and quiet. Our FHU site was sorta rutted, narrow, no privacy, but since it was winter, few folks were sitting outside. Good hiking trails. We didn't go down in the cavern, but heard it was good. Bathhouses were adequate, but cold in spite of overhead heaters.

Rough Rider

For Cascade Caverns Campground: I have traveled all over this great nation and seen, stayed at a lot of this so called "Tourist spot" for this place to be so close to a big city it is quiet and peaceful. The wildlife was active the trails were nice. The hospitality of the staff was awesome. The cave need to be on the must-have to do list. Not only that they had shot a movie here back in early 80's and I remembered when it came out. And the prices are very fair. So in all in all this place has five stars for me and I will be back if I ever want to get away to a very peaceful place thanks you Cascade Caverns for a wonderful visit.

For Cascade Caverns Campground: Great little park!!! Very accommodating staff. Prices were very reasonable. I think I paid $210 (with coupon, just go to their website) for 6 nights of spring break. Full hookup. I don't remember if they had 50A as I only use 30A. Water and waste hookup as well. Park was very quiet which we enjoyed. Kids rode bikes around without concern and we had a nice time. Bathrooms were nice and cleaned regularly.

We chose this CG as it was very accessible to Sea World in San Antonio (25 min drive) yet out of the hustle and bustle of the big city and not an RV park in the city. We like quiet and slower pace and definitely got it here.

The cave tour was awesome as well. If you're in the area, also check out the Cave Without a Name. It's about 20 minutes from this CG. Both caves were very enjoyable. Cascade was far more confined and tight spaces but quite interesting. Cave Without a Name was huge expansive caverns. For about $50 for 4, they both can't be missed.

I called before heading down there and they said they don't take reservations, but have never totally filled up so we shouldn't be concerned. They were right. It never filled, even though it was Spring Break.

Will definitely stay here again next trip to San Antonio.
