For 277 North Campground - Amistad National Rec Area: 227 North and San Pedro (both in Amistad Area) have sites big enough for most rigs. We were in 34 foot 5th wheel and had no problem. Most sites are easy to get level. No water, no utilites. Governors Landing (also in Amistad) is beautiful and has water but sites are small, 28 foot is max and even that would be tight.

For 277 North Campground - Amistad National Rec Area: We stopped here to overnight, and were delighted to find ourselves under the only shade tree and alone. We parked just inside the gate and did not venture down to the water, as we did not want to listen to any Saturday night parties. There are four other campgrounds in this national recreation area. As our Senior Pass got us in for $2/night, we plan to return next winter and scout all the camps for an extended stay. The town of Del Rio is fives miles away. If you are headed to Big Bend NP, Del Rio is the best place to stock up on groceries and fuel. Excellent for dry campers who don’t mind possible windy conditions There are covered picnic tables and pit toilets. No utilities.
