For Main - South Llano River State Park: Loved this park, very affordable with water and electric. Also very quiet, the park was close to full when we were there but still very little noise. Also great place to star gaze at night.

For Main - South Llano River State Park: We love this park and arrived without reservations only to find no water which meant no restrooms ,showers or dumping...10/21/15. Suppose to be 10 days until fixed. That with poor to no phone, internet, t.v. or radio made our stay only 2 days. Sites are large and very nice. Bird blinds are great as are hiking and biking trails. Too bad a large area of the park is only open from 10 to 3 ..protecting roosting turkeys! They in fact roamed thru our site along with multiple deer and a few armadillos. Of course there were only 3 folks camping because of the water situation.

For Main - South Llano River State Park: What a gem! It sits 5 miles south of I-10 at Junction TX and definitely worth the small diversion. It is in the country within a state park. There is a small river to tube and swim and they have tubes at the ranger station. We woke up to a family of turkeys in our camp. It is heavily wooded so shade is abundant at most sites. Miles of beautiful hiking trails. Dead quiet at night and the star gazing is quite impressive. Cost for one night was $28.00 for us with water and electric. If you want a real break from the highway, this is it!
