Karla & Larry Sommer

For Travelers World RV Resort: We had a wonderful 2-night stay at Travelers World. We chose it because it was right on the bicycle trail. After reading a previous review about the neighborhood and bicycles being stolen, we were a bit leery. But the location was perfect for us, so we booked it. We were very glad we did. We enjoyed a 30-mile bike ride. We locked up our bicycles in their bicycle storage building when we weren’t using them. Very easy. The staff there were very pleasant and helpful. There is a pool table, football table, big screen TV and fireplace, and business center there. I needed to print a document. We Ubered into San Antonio for a wonderful steak dinner at Revelle (not sure of the spelling) in the St Anthony Hotel. We enjoyed the downtown RiverWalk. There is a bus stop right across the street from the resort as well. The laundry room was very clean. We enjoyed the hot tub. And we even joined a happy hour in a separate “party” building onsite. Everyone brought a snack to share and their own drink. We met some very nice people and enjoyed good conversation. If we are in the San Antonio area again, we would definitely go back.

Gypsy Girl

For Travelers World RV Resort: Very nice clean well maintained park, excellent location to visit downtown area. Bus stop across the road to take you down town (the only way to go) $2.75 per person all day. Good Mexican restaurant across the street as well. A tad pricey but location location location. During my stay they offered a military discount, buy two nights get one free. Best to visit downtown on a week day as it gets very busy on the weekends. Enjoy!

Venom

For Travelers World RV Resort: Stayed here in s 40’ 5’er. Nice, clean and modern campground that is well maintained with top class amenities. The campground is in the typical WalMart paved parking lot layout. Good size pull through sites with clean crushed stone and a concrete seating area. Most sites are 50% shaded and all sites are grassed. Campground is right on the San Antonio River that has a very nice good quality and scenic 15 mile riverside cycling/jogging/walking trail. The Campground is about 3-4 miles along the trail from downtown and the very nice downtown Riverwalk and the Alamo. Well worth the cycle/jog/walk to downtown. Sun Resorts Campground that is pricy in the $70.00 + range. Cons: The campground is located in an older, not so nice area part of town. Some specimen in the neighborhood next to the park played boom-boom-boom music in the mornings, fixable by finding him and punching him in the nose. During thunderstorms there are some temporary heavy flooding in some areas due to insufficient drains, fixable by installing larger drains.

Retro RV Recon

For Travelers World RV Resort: (6/04/21) Very nice campground. Clean well maintained and quiet. The roads to get there are a bit challenging to get there, double check your route.

Josh

For Travelers World RV Resort: Hello - Stayed here for one evening on a pass thru to Corpus. The good: A very nice, clean, well laid out park. Very cute pool with clean updated bathrooms. Sites have plenty of room, are flat and well graveled with newer picnic tables. $13 Lyft to the Riverwalk. The bad; the pool closed at 7:00pm (really, it was full daylight and 92 degrees out), the “fulltime” residents need to CHILL. Multiple times, repremanded for silly rules. My kids goggles fell in the hot tub “You can’t be in there”, my daughter brought her rabbit cage outside “No cages allowed”’. Wow, do they realize my $70 nightly fee subsidizes their monthly rate? Chill out, folks. You were young once, too.

AZ Travelers

For Travelers World RV Resort: Traveler’s World looks very nice and is very clean. But the man and women at the front desk leave very little to be desired. The man couldn’t take to seconds to look up from the computer to say hello. The lady was incredibly grumpy. Just an unfriendly atmosphere where you first check in. As for as rv sites go, we were placed in the transient sites along a back fence. Small but ok. When it gets dark flood lights come on and lights up the inside of your rv where ever there is a small opening to the out side. They advertise dog friendly and it is. The dog park consist of an area cover with fake turf. Lots of dogs have pee’d and pooped on this turf so it didn’t look clean. No bags were available to pick up afterwards and it was apparent that many did not. If you have a larger dog, this is not the place for you. We feel that there other rv parks out there the would be a better choice for the money. And if the front office people could of been just a little bit friendly we would of not given it a two star rating.

Kerri Gilligan

For Travelers World RV Resort: A word of warning to anyone planning to stay at Travelers World in San Antonio, TX (a Sun RV Resort). Our bikes were stolen here last night, AND they were secured down. The SAPD officer who responded to our report stated theft is a common problem here, especially with bikes and sometimes break ins. He is called here once or twice a month. There is only one way to enter the park, but unfortunately they have no video surveillance here. When expressing my displeasure to the office staff about the lack of security for a known problem, they refer to their check in disclaimer about securing your bikes while here. The Sun RV Resort management apparently don't feel the need to assist in protecting their guests and/or their property by this park's example. This park is in a great location for those who enjoy biking, right on the River Walk biketrail, so obviously many guests will be bringing their bikes. DO NOT EXPECT THEM OR ANY OTHER PROPERTY TO BE SECURE IF YOU DECIDE TO STAY HERE!!!!!
