Everything beautiful about this cor but don’t get here before checking in time which is 3:00 as they will not let you go to your site even if no one is on it 😳😳. We got there at 1:45 and had to sit at front gate and no one was on our site but they made an exception and let us go back at 2:30. I hope all cor parks do not start this.

Very nice park. Many sites, level spots. Good breeze off the water. Didn’t use bathrooms. Staff friendly. Good att signal.

We stopped here during our journey to Big Bend. Very nice park, excellent bathhouse and lake view sites. Close to charming Brenham and Washington and in the middle of wildflower country. Be careful with pets on a warm day since the tar of the newly paved road gets in their paws.

Super nice parking pads and interior roads. Typical of most Corps parks. Lake was very low when we stayed for two weeks in January 2012. Deer roam all over the park and will appear early morning and late evening beside your RV. The park was all but empty during our stay except for the notorious Argentina ants. Ask the camp hosts how to combat the little buggers. Do it right away before they get inside the RV. We had tiny ants for two months after leaving the park. Other than the ant episode, we thoroughly enjoyed the stay at Rocky Creek Corps Park.
