For Sun Outdoors Salt Lake City: I agree with Traveler on everything except the internet - my Verizon connection was strong and fast. The NSA has an HQ here so the internet infrastructure is solid. Pick your site carefully - my 18 foot trailer took up most of my space but some are quite large. The private bathrooms have great modern showers but arnt being cleaned enough given the large population. I turned down 5 toilets before I found one that looked safe. Being right next to the Chevron Oil refinery, the main Salt Lake Sewage plant and whatever type of mining is going on the hill really makes me wonder if this place isnt grandfathered in or something to get around environmental safety laws.

For Sun Outdoors Salt Lake City: Now called Sun Outdoors. Big Rigs - must have an Executive or Premium site. Others are too small - even with big sounding names such as Deluxe Plus or Deluxe. Pull-thru cement sites, FHU-50 amp. Patio and picnic table. Grass in between sites. Crowded, noisy (road noise from freeway), and stinky (oil refinery near). Very poor wifi and almost no Verizon cell service (could not even use our own hot spot). Lots of live-ins. Internal streets are large but there are lots of vehicles that stick out into the street because the sites are so small and crowded. Reserve ahead! This is the only RV park in the area (Salt Lake area has very few) so we were grateful to have our Executive Site but if we could find another RV park, we probably would choose that one.

For Sun Outdoors Salt Lake City: RVs are pretty close together and the traffic noise from the highway is loud. It might be because we just boondocked on the salt flats and didn’t see a soul that I’m having an initial dislike towards this place. Showers are ok. One of the bathrooms was closed, there was a wasp hive at the playground, and the staff seemed ok. This was our first true RV resort and if this is how they are, I’ll stick to state/county parks and boondocki g.

For Sun Outdoors Salt Lake City: Stayed for 2 nights and that was all we could take! Fairly nice park. Good for a 1 night stay I would say. Lots of kids. Lots of full timers. They call them “seasonal folksâ€. Lots of oil workers staying with their families. Sites are very close together. Lots of construction going in the park while we were there. Most important part of this review is that they admitted to not having a strong power grid and boy…they weren’t lying. We’re in a 2021 Riverstone Legacy with 3 a/c units. We could only run 1 a/c and 1 ceiling fan at a time. The maintenance guy said the power problem was with our rig and not their park. I assure you that it’s not our rig. Thought that spending the extra money to stay at this park would be a treat to ourselves but what a disappointment. We ended up going to a to a much older park in south Idaho and guess what? NO power problems. Recommend going to another park.

For Sun Outdoors Salt Lake City: we stayed at this Sun resort for 4 nights and were treated very well. The spots are a little close but the concrete slabs make up for that. Had a pool and a very nice clubhouse. Staff went over and above to accomadate. we stayed in a 38' fifth wheel and would come back again!

For Sun Outdoors Salt Lake City: Best things about the park are the concrete slabs and the proximity to town. The staff were mostly friendly and accommodating. On the negative side, the sites are very small and what would be a grassy living area between sites is in most cases a bit of burnt yellow grass and mostly bald ground patches. I’m not sure why the sprinklers even came on each day. Mostly was a waste of water. Maybe decorative rock would be a better option. Seemed like a lot of permanent residents and there were far fewer friendly neighbors than we encounter at other parks. I do realize the park is not at fault for this. All and all, I would say overpriced and under spaced. Probably wouldn’t stay again.

For Sun Outdoors Salt Lake City: A nice clean park with showers, pool and wifi. Tight spaces and not much room for your vehicle but able to make it work. The WiFi is slow, but gets you to where want to go. Pricey, but I'd stay again.
