For KOA Holiday Vernal: We stayed a week, but that was too long. Sites are close, gravel with minimal shade for most. Lots of kids and kid activities. While we were there, several family reunions with cars parked everywhere. At one point they blocked the exit road with their chairs and children running unsupervised. On the positive side, there was a small, but serviceable dog area and a lot of large grassy areas to walk.
Close to Dinosaur NM and the town of Vernal. The office has several driving tour pamphlets which we made use of. We also stopped in the Forest Service office and the ranger had several recommendations for scenic drives. Went to a farmers market on Saturday, worth a look.

For KOA Holiday Vernal: Sad to say, this is the worst KOA we’ve stayed at. The dirt site was very narrow. It was supposed to come with a fire pit and picnic table. We had neither. The neighbor’s fire pit was so close to our rig and propane as to be dangerous. The WiFi was so slow it was unusable. And lastly, the hosts were decidedly unhelpful. Unless you are desperate, it is not to be recommended.

For KOA Holiday Vernal: Great park for kids!! I felt bad for our girls because we checked in too late to do any of the activities and left early. I had to promise them we would return. Sites are level and very clean. Pool was great. Our girls were able to swim for a while and had a lot of fun. They have put put, a bounce pad, nice playground, and grass (which is pretty rare out here)!! The staff was friendly and very helpful.

For KOA Holiday Vernal: Green - we love grass and trees. This site has plenty. The staff was super friendly. For example, when I was a having difficulty connecting to the wireless, the manager came straight over to help out. The park was neat and tidy. We will stay here again.

For KOA Holiday Vernal: If you are looking for a good base camp for your visit to Dinosaur NM, this is perfect. The sites are clean and easy to access and the place is very clean. We wanted full hookups and this fit the bill great. We were here late in the season so some elements of the park were in shutdown mode. That’s understandable.

For KOA Holiday Vernal: Stayed one night in June while visiting Dinosaur NM. Showers, pool and playground were great. Our site was uneven for our travel trailer, so gave them 4 stars. This usually is not an issue for me, but had trouble getting the trailer level. Nice large trees for shade as well. Would stay again.
