For West Beach Resort: The resort is much more set up for those renting cabins or glamping. The tent sites are in the rear of the property with RV and van sites closer to the water but still no view. Most of the sites are lines on the back with trees but 59 and 60 are basically wedged between other campers and the bathroom. Try to avoid those sites.
The community bonfire, kayak rentals, whale watching trips, a small store, ice cream, beer, wine, and coffee, and the hot tub all make this resort a step above but the cost is expensive. If headed here make sure you make a ferry reservation.
