For Blakes RV Park and Marina: May 26, 2022
We stayed at Blake’s two times prior to this and enjoyed our stay. This is not a normal RV park, there are long time residence, and it has an industrial feel, however river sites if you get one, are the big draw and that’s why we liked it.
Our third stay was on May 24, 2022, I called the resort and requested a reservation for our 20-foot Winnebago with full hook up for 3 persons and a small dog. Since I was familiar with the resort, I specifically asked for site #23 and further described the site to the representative so there would be no mistake. She said OK, and I paid for two nights in full with my credit card.
On May 25th when we arrived site #23 was occupied by someone else. We were disappointed, so. the representative proceeded to show us two other spots, and only one alongside the river but only a partial hook-up, no sewer. We chose the river spot; since that was our reason in coming, with the understanding we could use the dumping station during our stay since we had already paid for two nights with a full hook-up spot.
On May 26, 2022, I went to the office for instructions where to dump and the women at the desk told me I had to pay an additional $18 to dump. I explained to her that we had already paid for a full-service site and should not have to pay anything else despite our need to go through the inconvenience to disconnect and reposition. I emphasized we had paid in advance and the price was set for a full hookup site which we did not get. She refused to agree and became combative and argumentative I told her this was ridiculous and if that was the game, she was playing we’d never come back and would refuse to pay this additional charge. She then instantly changed her story and said her reason for the additional charge, was now going to be for a third person. The website clearly states you can have 4 persons max no additional charge!
Since I on my initial reservation request, she was told we had three people and a dog on our original reservation request, that was ridiculous. She changed her story midstream and just wanted to gouge us for more money.
After I told explicitly, I was not paying she charged my credit card anyway for this additional amount which is now in dispute. When I returned to our campsite, a fellow camper overheard me relating this story to my friends and came over to relate to me his similar horror story.
Spare yourself the anger and frustration and stay away. We were hoping for a pleasant weekend camping trip and this woman ruined it, so NEVER AGAIN! This is not the way to treat customers or run your business.

For Blakes RV Park and Marina: We stayed here several nights during the pandemic and have to say that overall this is a nice location. It feels a little more “industrial†however we went on a weekend when it rained some and our dogs didn’t track a bunch of forest into our trailer so that was nice. There is a nice path nearby and a farmer type stand nearby for some local treats. Overall this was a quiet place to stay along the Skagit River. We will visit them again in the future.

For Blakes RV Park and Marina: We ended up here on a Saturday of a 3 day weekend in B.C., so I feel lucky to be squeezed in anywhere. The nice lady in the office pointed to our site, but didn’t give me any written info, so we ended up next to a long term fighting family. The manager came out and directed us to the proper site, which was a fairly level site on a gravel pad, with full hookups, for $50. No view, no privacy, nowhere to go outside. It’s situated on the beautiful green Skagit River, but only a few sites get to be anywhere near the water. Lots of people seem like they live here. The bathrooms are 2 toilets and one shower. It costs 25 cents a minute, but nice and hot, and soft water. The shower area has a bench and hooks, and a wire rack for the shower toiletries. The shower curtain needs changing, kind of gross. The laundry room consisted of one functioning washer for $2.00 and a couple of dryers for $1.00, which worked well. It’s close to Snow Goose Produce, and 22 miles from Anacortes. Nowhere to walk from here. Bring bikes and kayaks! Good for one night, unless you can manage to snag a river site with a reservation.
