For Big Creek Campground: This is very close to the sw entrance to Mt RANIER NP. The Campground has short pads and small picnic table areas. However it is heavily shaded and is a pleasant small camp. It fills up on the weekends, so make a reservation if you can, although there were 10 walk up (non-reservable) sites along the creek. There is a trailhead in camp that takes you up a mountain to some lakes. Alternatively you can take a forest road up for a shorter hike to the same location. There were 3 clean vault toilets, tap water, and trash bins. About half the campers were tent campers and the other half had trailers 20 feet or under. We had the latter and just fit on the pad with the tow vehicle at an angle. There are two pull thru sites which are considered doubles for $30.(no discount with passes on those}.
