For Klipchuck Campground: This is a beautiful campground that well accommodates the number of campground without making it feel over crowded. There are a nice variety of sites, many being level. Partial shade is important when traveling with animals and we found the right mix of shade for them and sun to run the solar panel. The USFS staff were through often. The vault toilets clean and well-kept. It is far enough off the main road that there is no noise. The other campers were quiet and courteous. The only downside was that the “campground hosts” were wilderness rangers that were not there for the week we were in the campground. If there had been an issue, help would have been hard to find. Water spigots were plentiful. We will definitely come back!

For Klipchuck Campground: Beautiful campground about a mile off Rt 20 through the northern Cascades. Big, very private sites, especially along the river. Trail down to the river provides a place to play in the water. Far enough off the highway that road noise is very low ( unlike both Early Waters and Lone Fir on the same road, both of which are within sight of the main road.) Fresh water available but not for filling tanks.
