For Homestead - Wyalusing State Park: What a beautiful park! We stayed in sites 219, 218 and 201 in Homestead campground in early July 2019 with travel trailers ranging from 23 to 29 ft. Sites were fairly level and no issues with the electricity which was recently installed in these sites. About half of the sites were electric, no water or sewer at sites. The bathhouse was built new in 2018 and was one of the nicest state park ones I’ve come across. The roads are paved. There was one dump and fill station near the entrance. Everything was in good working order. Staff and camp hosts were extremely helpful and personable. Ranger was a stickler about having passes and camp tags properly placed. Can’t blame them for doing their job. Now about the park. This adjoins the Wisconsin Ridge campground just up the road. Nice hiking, bird watching, beautiful scenery. My preference is Homestead over Wisconsin Ridge due to the size of the sites. Some great views in Wisconsin Ridge but sites are much closer together and difficult for anything more than 25ft to maneuver into. Great tent camping though. Homestead is much more private and larger sites. WI Ridge is maybe 1/2 mile away with a nice playground. Hiking is all over. The birds singing were the most beautiful I have experienced. I wish I’d yhad more time to get the binoculars out and do some serious bird watching. This is a must stay if traveling through or looking for a relaxing getaway. Very nice group tent sites too. I hope to return to be able to take its entire beauty in. Such a beautiful place I give it 5 stars even though it doesn’t have full hookups!
