For Big Bay State Park: This was one of our vacation destination locations. Pros: beautiful scenic area, wooded sites, private, quiet, clean rest rooms. Cons: expensive ferry ride, $175 for 29’ travel trailer and truck, no water at sites. Very little to no Verizon signal in park and tv reception very limited. Took the apostle island cruise, cold and rainy that day and Devils Island was most Photographic, go on sunny day! we found better scenic vistas on Madeline island point trail inside park! Would most likely come again!

For Big Bay State Park: Campground is on Madeline Island and requires an expensive Ferry ride to get to. In addition to the campsite fee, and the cost of the Ferry there is also a Wisconsin State Park entry fee. The campground sites are nicely spaced is in a wooded area away from the beach.
