For Forest Pond Campground: We found this campground after trying to fit in one of the National Forest campgrounds off Hwy 70. We had a pull-through site that was very level. The owners were very friendly and welcoming. It rained almost all night but the site stayed pretty dry. There appear to be 13 RV sites and 5 tent sites. The restrooms have flush toilets and a coin-operated shower in each restroom. The water system is solar-powered; the showers require 8 quarters, which help pay for the solar system, and were about 7 minutes long with good pressure and warm water. There is also a private fish pond and a dump station.
