For Lake Arrowhead Campground: I was excited to come here for the first time based on location and five star review.

I am a bit disappointed in this campground overall. Here is how I would break it down.

Good: Location on Lake Puckaway. Boats are available to rent at a very reasonable price. Bass boats for fishing as well as Pontoons. Golf carts are also available to rent and make getting around easy. Wednesday to Sunday rate specials are available. The playgrounds are decent as are the pools. The store has a little bit of everything but ran out of stock on some stuff early on. Firewood by the bundle is reasonable. Lots of daily activities to partake in. Staff comes by to pick up trash often and is very responsive to needs.

Bad: Bathrooms and showers have a lot to be desired for. Very run down and the hot water is not great. No gravel on the campsites so you track sand everywhere. Roads are dusty so every time a cart or car goes by you eat dust. Tight getting a fifth wheel in to our site but other sites are a bit easier. I've seen the older staff gentlemen speak harshly to kids on three separate occasions. That needs to get fixed by the owner ASAP. Pool is small.

This campground has a lot of full timers and cabins to rent and it gets loud past quiet hours and it felt like a party atmosphere which is fun if you like that sort of atmosphere.

Lake has Pike, bass, perch, catfish. It is only six feet deep at maximum depth. Fishing is probably better in spring and fall.
