For Nahkeeta Campsite: Do not stay here. No shower, laundry,no amenities of any kind. Sites are not level. It is basically a cow pasture with hookups. Our site was very wet. Couldn’t get anyone to bring us propane. So we were going to leave to get it, Ground wet and soft. Buried class A up to the axels. $349 yo get us out. Requested dry site. Result was we were tossed out . Repeat , do not stay here

For Nahkeeta Campsite: Beautiful location with gravel roads and gravel/grass sites that are pretty large. Sites are very unlevel. No washroom or bathroom. And the post about very poor water pressure us right on - it is completely ridiculous. No WiFi or cable.

Adventure Awaits

For Nahkeeta Campsite: We stayed here based on all the 4 star ratings (the most recent of which was from a few years ago). The sites are spacious and it was not crowded. The cost was $40 (no discounts allowed). The campground is partially surrounded by a wide open field—very pretty and serene. However, it is right next to a very busy highway and the traffic noise was considerable. But the worst thing was that the water pressure was only about 22 pounds and I could just barely wash and rinse the dishes. I didn’t even try to take a shower! It would have taken forever to get rinsed off! We will not stay here again.

For Nahkeeta Campsite: Pleasant and very easy stop for the night. I called her around 6 pm and left a message and she called right back + took my credit card on the phone. We were glad to have a choice in an open field and not have to back into a tight spot at 10 pm arrival after a thunderstorm. Grass was plenty firm and electric and water hookups newish/good. It was a full moon and almost silent (not crowded). I paid $35 total. We awoke with the sun (again silent) and chose to leave early before the dump station opened at 9. The Daily Grind for coffee nearby was good too.

For Nahkeeta Campsite: If you want to enjoy a green natural setting, with lots of restaurants and shopping a few miles down the road, this is the place for you. We have a 40 foot Allegro Bus and this family owned and operated campground has accommodated us comfortably during the three times we have been here. We always get a full, 50 amp hook up. Nahkeeta has no amenities such as bathrooms and showers, but freedom to explore a lush setting with walking and bike paths, and a creek you can walk to makes up for this. Our dogs had a blast cooling off in the creek, while we waded with them. The owners are working hard to improve the landscaping with mowing and planting trees and flowers. I recommend giving it a try!

For Nahkeeta Campsite: Well kept sites w good hookups, but no showers, rest room, or other facilities. $30 per night seems a bit much.

Maryland RVer

For Nahkeeta Campsite: In the area to geocache and did not need a campground with all the frills. We have a 40-foot self contained unit and were very happy with the large level Full hook up 50-amp site at rear of property. Most sites are in open sun. Nice gravel interior road and the park was not at all crowded even on a holiday weekend. Other campers near us were seasonal. Lighting adequate for rural environment. A short walk to a lovely creek (catch and release, I believe). CG is beside Hwy 9 but traffic noise was not particularly noticeable. Grounds are mowed well and plenty of grass--no dust. Grass/gravel site pad and city water where we were. If you come without satellite, you will only get one local/regional TV station plus ION and a whole lot of PBS. The grandparents there with grandkids brought their own toys as there is no playground. Martinsburg maintains a very nice asphalt bike trail along Hwy 9 and there are even geocaches on it very close to campground. Saw lots of families passing by CG on this trail. Rate was half what we would have paid for Hagerstown big rig sites--only $35 on a holiday! However, credit cards not accepted so we paid cash. I would highly recommend this campground to adult travelers on sightseeing stopovers.
