Wymap

For KOA Journey Flatwoods: Very nice campground, yes the road is hilly with curves, some rather tight. Gravel pad with concrete patio and grass. It’s quite, sites are well spaced. We are in a 32’ motorhome with a tow, there is a 40’ with tow and 3 travel trailers up here. I could stay here for awhile but we’re here for overnite.

For KOA Journey Flatwoods: We liked this KOA. 2 nights. Was very quite and clean. Staff was friendly and helpful. We would stay here again.

Bryan

For KOA Journey Flatwoods: Pretty and well kept campground with gravel sites. My site was mostly level but did have to use my levelers. The road into the campground is very winding and somewhat confusing. Like the rest of the state the campground in on a hill with terraced lots. Bathrooms are clean. You must check in at the motel.

Gino

For KOA Journey Flatwoods: I thought this campground was fine, however if you have a large rig the road to some of the pull thru sites is narrow and steep, very well maintained, I could see how that could be a little scary. My site was level...

The Allens

For KOA Journey Flatwoods: We thoroughly enjoyed this unusual campground. Located high on a hill just off I-79 it offers adequate camping in a unique environment. Class As (especially with toads) would not find the steep hills friendly. For others willing to climb it is well worth it. We woke up looking out over a lovely valley and we were above the clouds. We were in a Winnebago View and will definitely stay here again if we travel this way.

Billyd

For KOA Journey Flatwoods: Not typical KOA. Check in at Days Inn. Steep hill in/out. Convenient to Interstate. Pull thru not level. Good for one night stop.

Steve

For KOA Journey Flatwoods: Class A Stay Away from here. Road leading to Hotel Check In has signs posted NO LARGE TRUCKS for good reason. Low hanging branches and steep winding drive. Campground was largely deserted but we were still placed in a remote site with no access to anything on a very sloped lot. Numerous attempts to level on that lot or the 6 or 7 other deserted lots on the plateau we were marshalled to left our front wheels a foot off the ground. The front desk at the hotel had assured us the lot was level both when making the reservation and on check in and nothing could be further from the truth. Wasted $45 on somewhere that is nowhere close to KOA standards. No wonder it was deserted!
