RamblinTurtle

For Rivers Edge RV and Cabins Resort: I stayed here for 3 nights from the end of June to early July. THE North Platte river next to the park is nice. However, don't go near it at dusk this time of year or the skitters will get you! Park access from I-25 is easy. Fort Caspar is a nice visit if you have the time. I would stay here again.

Larry

For Rivers Edge RV and Cabins Resort: pretty nice, level gravel spaces, used my satellite for the TV, WiFi was good. pretty quiet. Staff was very efficient. Not really about the campground but the Sinclair station/truck stop and the flying J at the next exit were charging $3.40 for diesel, station at exit 188 were charging $2.65.

Ranchopgm

For Rivers Edge RV and Cabins Resort: Good overnight, we stayed 2 to see interpretive center which is excellent. Out of town but near new and growing area of Casper with good stores like Natural Grocers . Easy access for motorhome and fuel nearby. Other reviews are correct about dust, owners need to invest in some gravel and landscaping.

Reditch

For Rivers Edge RV and Cabins Resort: Overnight stay and on the plus side super nice staff, easy to get into. But on sites near the river a little close together, and the screen on the bathroom door didn’t seal real well, so few flying bugs. But even with that the facility was super clean with plenty of hot water.

Lucy

For Rivers Edge RV and Cabins Resort: This was a great place to regroup. We stayed 2 nights. Even met new friends here. Showers and bathrooms are great. Big enough open spaces. Like everyone says ...AstroTurf. Can’t find fault with it. We had a few drops of rain, no hard rain so can’t talk to the area getting wet. Got quite windy at night... but a very nice campground. We’d stop again.

Sasquatch

For Rivers Edge RV and Cabins Resort: Weary travelers! Skip the other RV Parks in Casper. Nice big sites here; ours was overlooking the Platte River. Nice grassy dog walk along the river. Super clean showers and laundry both near our site and at the office. Amazing radiant floor heat in the showers! Staff was friendly and helpful, especially manager Lois. We seldom say we would stay somewhere again, but here is one that we would.

ASG

For Rivers Edge RV and Cabins Resort: RIVER'S EDGE CAMPGROUND We needed a place to overnight in Casper on the way to Devils Tower. This campground had four stars from most reviewers. The campground was well kept, and the owner/manager was very nice. There is a recreation room with books and a pool table. They have laundry and shower facilities as well. The campground is right on the North Platte River, which is nice. The downside of this campground is that it is all dirt/clay. Each campsite has an artificial turf patio area with a picnic table, but the pads for the RV and the road are made out of the same dirt/clay material. The morning of our arrival, it had just snowed a little. That snow quickly melted, and the entire surface had turned into a mud like paste. This mud got EVERYWHERE. Our coach was coated with it on the inside, and the truck & fifth wheel were painted with it as well. I don't know if the solution is to re-gravel the park or what, but if it is raining or in the wet season, I would keep this in mind. I imagine in the summer, it would be fine. There is park wifi, but it is slow, at about 1 mbs. They have 20/30/50 amp service, and full hook-ups. They even offer satellite TV in some spots. There are pull-thru and back-in sites as well. The rates were about $43/night, and they accept Good Sam as a discount (10%). Because of the mud, we might not stay there again.
