For Colter Bay Campground - Grand Teton National Park: Don’t miss going down to the lake. Beautiful sunset from the lake shore. Sites were nice and bathrooms were clean. Rangers were friendly and the area was quite even thou we were in a generator loop.

For Colter Bay Campground - Grand Teton National Park: Great park, Rangers poorly trained did not know rules and regulations of park and allowed camper to demand that people not use generator in part of park that allows it, resulted in conflict that could have escalated.
Signs easy to read loops A-G are no- generator sites, 2 easy to read signs.

For Colter Bay Campground - Grand Teton National Park: What can I say other than Grand Teton is just a gorgeous place. Colter Bay is a wonderful park. Large treed sites. Well-cared for area. Great village area with general store with everything you could want or need. Large range of groceries and essentials. Gift shop, ice cream, coffee shop. Ranch House Restaurant had delicious food. Trout was outstanding. For a smaller meal, soup and salad bar was good (excellent chili). Only downside was no television or internet in park. A couple of hotspots (restaurants, laundry, and the Guest House for the cabins which we found and used on several occasions).

For Colter Bay Campground - Grand Teton National Park: Great campground with the friendliest staff. The girl checking us in loved our puppy so much and gave her a dog biscuit while we were paying. Awesome large roads with TONS of sites. Jackson Lake was a quick walk from our site. Quiet and secluded where we didn’t feel like there were 300 other rigs.

For Colter Bay Campground - Grand Teton National Park: Very bike friendly campsite. We were able to ride over to the shore of Jackson Lake, as well as the outdoor auditorium for a Ranger Talk. Lots of mosquitos here in mid June.

Mcpowdee
For Colter Bay Campground - Grand Teton National Park: We stayed in Yellowstone (Fishing Bridge) for a week before staying here. Prices are comparable for RV sites, BUT in Fishing Bridge you receive 2 showers/day/RV. Here $4.25 per person for a shower--rip-off! Also you cannot check in before noon. (Fishing Bridge-check in whenever you arrive)
Sites were not level. I had to use 4 blocks under front tires. Trees are plentiful. Sites are not gravel or cement but "forest floor".
Restrooms were clean. Showers are near General Store not in RV Campground.
We were in a motorhome.
If we are ever back in this area, we will stay in Yellowstone vice here.

For Colter Bay Campground - Grand Teton National Park: Busy large campground where if you want a good spot then arrive early. Do not confuse with the RV park located at the entry to the campground. The RV park does take reservations where this campground does not. We received a fairly private pull through spot and were satisfied, but there were many spaces on our loop which were little more than shoulders off the road. The main facility next to the market has pay by the use showers which are not time limited and quite clean. They are also very busy. You cannot beat the views, and the lake is gorgeous. We would return.
