For Turpin Meadow Campground: Let's be honest about things. This is a National Forest Service campground. With that said it is NOT an RV Resort packed with amenities. What it does have is LOCATION. It is located just outside Grand Teton National Park. The views from here are to die for, absolutely stunning. What sets this campground out from other NFS campgrounds is the views and the LOCATION just outside Grand Teton NP....and I might add a short beautiful drive to the Moran Junction entrance to Grand Teton NP. As long as you understand that this is a NFS campground, and provides what normal NFS campgrounds provide you will be fine....IF you are looking for a FHU campground you are barking up the wrong tree. This place is as good as it gets for those that are comfortable dry camping.

For Turpin Meadow Campground: The campground was full when we got there (around 6pm). There’s a 10-15 minute drive down a bumpy dirt road to get down to the campground, and there are four pullouts along the way. Three of them were taken so we used the last one. Quiet, but absolute swarms of mosquitos. We set up the tent but ended up sleeping in the car to avoid them.

For Turpin Meadow Campground: We couldn’t find a place to stay in the Grand Teton National Park. The ranger said to head up Buffalo Valley Road outside the park as it was National Forrest land and we could camp anywhere we found a spot! We found a lovely spot and stayed there for four nights in our trailer! Gotta have your mosquito repellent and don’t stay too close to the water!

For Turpin Meadow Campground: Very nice and clean camp ground. Not many people at all. Bathrooms are clean with no plumbing. There are 3 water spigots for filling up your tanks through out park. Level spots and lots of wild life. Rate is $10 a night currently. RVs only because of Grizzly bear issues right now. Neither Verizon nor AT&T will work here.
