For KOA Journey Rock Springs: Restrooms, hookups and staff very good. A total mud hole when it rains or snows.

For KOA Journey Rock Springs: First the good news. The staff was friendly and courteous.

The bad news was that it was raining and this KOA is better suited for mudbog racing than camping if it is raining. The site was not level; the lack of gravel was astounding given what kind of mud you get at this location. Not a perfect nightmare, but pretty close.

Bottom line is that if it is raining, you need to run and hide from this KOA and find a paved level lot anywhere but here.

I saw the three star review and did not read the one star reviews like I should have. Never again here.

For KOA Journey Rock Springs: We were given cookies at check in and kids enjoyed the pool. Other than that it was ok and good for a one night stopover. Not a lot to see or do. Pool was good.

For KOA Journey Rock Springs: WELL, ALL SAID AND DONE, IT WAS A BIT DUSTY, BUT STAFF AND FASCILITIES WERE FINE AND WE WOULD STAY HERE AGAIN. LOTS OF HISTORIC THINGS IN THE AREA.

For KOA Journey Rock Springs: First I must say that the staff were very friendly and polite. That said, I was very disappointed in this campsite.

There was no vegetation. I was in a pull through and my views on two sides were of other RVs within 5 feet of mine, no room at all, and the third side looked over at several massive oil tanks right across the fence line. The lot was all gravel, but not leveled. My site was badly out of level to the point that I was unable to level my trailer. The noise from the interstate highway, only a couple of hundred yards away was enough to keep my kids awake. For $42 a night I was expecting a lot more. This is not much more than an overcrowded parking lot. Maybe okay for a one night stay in a pinch, but I won't be going back.

Beth

For KOA Journey Rock Springs: Essentially just a gravel lot next to a busy Interstate and oil storage tanks. Reserved 1 night pull-thru spot 5 months in advance, accurately stating camper length but was put in a site clearly not long enough to accommodate us. 30amp electric worked initially, but ironically stopped after I complained about the site length. Thankfully we carry a 50amp adapter.

All but 1 staff member was pleasant and grounds as clean as one can get a gravel pit. Laundry room sub-par with very small load sizes for the cost of $2.50/load.

I would strongly not recommend this place if you can help it. During a 4 week, cross-country trip staying exclusively in KOAs, this one has been a standout as far as disappointment and dissatisfaction.

QuikVik

For KOA Journey Rock Springs: This is a gravel lot with no view to speak of. All open. Staff is nice and friendly. That does not make up for the highway noise and desolate appearance. We could not drive any further that day so we stayed even after we drop in and saw what it was like. E & W only was $39.
