Kat

For Hi Country RV Park: We usually only use this type of full service campground to do laundry, dump, and fill... so one night max. We had a problem with our trailer that required a week long stay at this RV park. True, there’s no privacy, and the WiFi is non existant. The full hook up is great for the price, and we had a great experience with the owners. Due to COVID, the shop and cafe are closed, but the owners cell number is listed on the door, and they were always quick to reply, and provide any necessary assistance. He brought us change for the laundromat, which is in good repair, within ten minutes of our text. On a Sunday morning, the campground’s well dried up unexpectedly, and he worked quickly to have a private comapny come and fill it, while driving around the grounds to check on everyone. The spots are tight, but the trees make up for it a bit. Much nice than a parking lot. This isn’t the place to go for a quiet, private, experience. But if you’re visiting Whitehorse, restocking, or need maintenance on your rig, this place is more than adequate.

For Hi Country RV Park: Close to downtown. Good facilities, tight fit on most sites. Miles Canyon is worth the visit. Would visit again.

CDix

For Hi Country RV Park: Pros: close to downtown. Some trees between sites. Decent gift shop. Nice showers. Cons: $8 for small amount of firewood...(in the Yukon!?!) No generator running. Tight spots. Wifi very limited 30 min free.

For Hi Country RV Park: We were looking for a place to stay in or near Whitehorse to allow provisioning and visit the city. We’re self contained and don’t use the facilities except for an occasional shower. We stayed 3 weeknights in late May in our 8 meter (25 foot) motor home. This is a large CG 3 km (2miles) from downtown Whitehorse. It has over 100 sites. Most are relatively small - the people in the registration area assign sites based on size of rig and requested hookups. Sites have level gravel parking pads and most have some trees and bushes between sites, the back in sites more so than the pull throughs. The utilities worked well. The showers were clean with ample hot water. The 24-hour laundry facilities were modern, clean and worked well. The coin op RV wash worked well and was bonus. WiFi was not usable. There was a weak ATT signal roaming on Telus and weak Verizon roaming on Bell with a booster. All services are available in Whitehorse, including groceries, restaurants, museums and historical sites. There are multi-use paths throughout the city. There was a good ATT/Telus signal in the parking lots near the airport and downtown.

Jay Knight

For Hi Country RV Park: A windy day, VERY DUSTY! Plumes of white dust! Was directed to a site by the counter clerk, 30 minutes later a guy said we were in the wrong spot. Ok I’ll move , he then ask if we checked in and paid! Of course we checked in and I showed him the receipt. Not accustomed to that treatment ! Nice bathrooms and shower.

Robert

For Hi Country RV Park: Nice convenient location. Closely packed sites and narrow sites. Some tight turns. Right on top of your neighbor. Free showers. Average wifi. Power located at very end of site and almost didn't reach my rig.

Don

For Hi Country RV Park: Put us in a site that there was no way to level the motorhome and right next to a very busy and noisy highway. Not worth the money. Liked Pioneer and Caribou Parks better.
