For GBRA Lake Wood Park: Quiet little park/campground with LOTS of shade to help your RVs A/C beat the heat during the hot Texas summers. Full hook-ups in 1-16. Zero open air TV reception under the pecan trees. Bathrooms require quite a bit of work; otherwise I would have rated 5-stars. Staff and camp hosts are very helpful and friendly .
GBRA doesn’t appear inclined to put $$ into this park to make improvements. Would highly recommend people call/contact GBRA and lobby for improvements .

For GBRA Lake Wood Park: The website for online reservations said my site was full hook up. It was not! Site 43, 44 and 45 are not full hook up like the website says. The front desk said they get that complaint a lot. They are doing nothing to fix it. I called gbra/ messaged them on facebook/ put in a complaint at the front desk/ emailed the 3rd party vendor. They don’t care and have not fixed it. Do not stay here!

For GBRA Lake Wood Park: Quaint little park for an easy get away. It’s a tiny bit run down and there’s no lake but the pecan grove is a great open space to enjoy. The roads are tight so be careful of that! We had 50amp full hookups in spot #5.

For GBRA Lake Wood Park: The staff is friendly and the park is clean/quiet. The internal roads are tight and very little artificial lights in the area. So if you arrive at night keep a sharp eye out for the big trees next to the roadways. If your looking for a nice place to lay low for a few days, you might want to check this park out.
