For Crystal Forest Gift Shop Campground: Loved this place... Free! Clean. Gravel, not dust. No electricity on east side of road. There is electricity on west side, for a fee.

For Crystal Forest Gift Shop Campground: great free overnight stay before going into the National Park. Electricity does not work. The campsite on the east side of the highway are nicer away from traffic. Fairly level gravel with picnic tables and a few teepees for kids to play in. There is petrified wood laying about the campsites everywhere. Would definitely stay here again.

For Crystal Forest Gift Shop Campground: Free camping and overnight parking. Pretty much a gravel parking lot with some picnic tables. OK for RVs, not so great for tents, as there are no bathrooms. And no bathrooms equals piles of poo and toilet paper along the perimeter. Gets pretty nasty. But its really the only option in the area.

For Crystal Forest Gift Shop Campground: Well, it's a gravel parking lot, but clean and nicely spaced for FREE RV overnighting. Electricity was not available during our stay, but can't complain as there is nothing else near Petrified Forest.
